Usual Adult Dose for Iron Deficiency
30 mg orally twice a day, 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal
Duration of therapy:
Comments:
- Treatment duration depends on the severity of iron deficiency but generally at least 12 weeks of therapy are required.
- Continue treatment until ferritin levels are within normal range.

Precautions
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
- Hemochromatosis and other iron overload syndromes
- Receipt of repeated blood transfusions
Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients younger than 18 years.
This drug is not recommended for use in children.
