Edaravone (applies to Radicava ORS) asthma
Moderate Potential Hazard, Moderate plausibility.
Edaravone contains sodium bisulfite, a sulfite that may cause allergic reactions, including life-threatening or less severe asthmatic episodes in susceptible people. Sulfite sensitivity occurs more frequently in asthmatic than non-asthmatic people. Patients should be advised to seek immediate medical care if they experience signs and symptoms of asthma.

Edaravone (applies to Radicava ORS) renal impairment
Moderate Potential Hazard, Moderate plausibility. Applicable conditions: Renal Dysfunction
Edaravone has not been studied in patients with severe renal impairment. No dosage modifications are required in patients with mild or moderate renal impairment.
