Zanubrutinib for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "This medication is extremely hard on my GI tract, causing pain 15 minutes after I take the medication. I can feel it as it moves through my GI tract due to where the pain is in my abdomen. I am also experiencing extreme fatigue and joint pain. It has decreased the size of my lymph nodes and my LDH and blood counts are improving. But, there is a cost-both physically and financially."

For Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "I have been taking Brukinsa for almost three years. For the first 12 months, I was on 160 mg twice a day. I experienced afib to the point of being hospitalized. Dosage was reduced to 80 mg twice a day. Afib went away on its own. Only side effects are fatigue and runny nose. IMG went from over 4,000 to 800 since treatment started and continues to fall slowly. Blood cell counts and kidney function are normal. Susceptibility to infections increased but has been controlled with a 28-day interval of gamma guard infusion. Leading a normal life."

For Mantle Cell Lymphoma "Started 3 weeks ago for MCL. 160 mg BID. Palpable adenopathy essentially already resolved (!) Side effects = bruising, rash, mild purpura on arms, mild petechiae on face and legs, occasional nausea. Interesting side effects = 1.) voice change (much lower, sound like Yoda with a cold) which begins about 2 hours after taking a dose and lasts for about an hour. Very repeatable. 2.) eyelashes appear to be getting longer."

Zanubrutinib for Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "After 6 B&R chemo sessions, chemo wasabi stopped due to a mutant cell that was blocking its effectiveness. After nearly 2 months, I was put on Brukinsa and have had little or no side effects. Slight runny nose, occasional minor back pain. I feel like myself again. Looking forward to my first lab since starting. I hope it’s working!"

Zanubrutinib for Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "My dose is currently 160 mg once per day. I have few side effects. Some muscle and joint issues, which are resolved pretty well by stretching, exercise, and relaxation techniques. It has given me my life back. I was using a walker when first diagnosed with lymphoma. Now I can walk, hike, and bike for an hour. Fatigue is definitely an issue, so I need to rest in between activities. While I can't just take off for a day like I used to, I am still living a good life. It is crazy expensive, but between Medicare, my supplemental insurance, and help from the manufacturer, I haven't had any copay. I'm so grateful."

Zanubrutinib for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "A few months after starting Brukinsa, I began to break out in rashes and sores on my arms and scalp. My skin started itching, especially on my head. Hydrocortisone cream and medicated shampoo and medicated skin cream took care of all that. I also take a buttload of supplements - Vitamin C, Vitamin E, multivitamins, selenium, Vitamin D3, etc. - along with four doses of iron every day to keep my red blood cell levels up. It will be two years in November since I started on it, and so far it works like a charm. Unfortunately, it also increases my joint pain. But I exercise regularly and eat right most of the time. Lots of walking, playing drums and going to the gym, so that, as well as a dose of Tramadol 2-3 times a week, keeps my pain at bay. I don't take any other prescription drugs. I'm 63 years old and still have some living to do, so thank God for Brukinsa!"

Zanubrutinib for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "I've been taking Brukinsa for a year. I take two pills twice a day. The pills are easy to swallow. The only side effect I've experienced is bruising. Occasionally, I have a slight headache, but not bad enough that I need to take anything. My blood counts were in range within 2 months of starting Brukinsa."

Zanubrutinib for Follicular Lymphoma "I am being treated for a recurrence of Non-Hodgkin's B-cell lymphoma (not one of the conditions above) after having chemo and immunotherapy some 7 years ago. After some 5 months of taking Brukinsa, my red blood cell count has improved significantly and continues to improve. My only discernible side effects are a reasonable increase in bleeding when shaving, although my blood seems to clot reasonably well, but my facial skin (and on my head) seems to have 'breakouts' which take much longer to heal, particularly when shaving. Dosage is 2 tablets of 80 mg each, twice daily. Obviously easy to use."

Zanubrutinib "On Brukinsa since December 26, 2024, and a big improvement in my blood count. I can do some physical work now that I couldn’t do last fall. No nausea and no night sweats. All good so far after 6 months on Brukinsa."

Zanubrutinib for Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "Most things are good, except I have neuropathy. This in itself seemed OK following my first treatment 'CHOP.' However, since going onto Brukinsa in May 2023, I find that my neuropathy seems worse even though my IGM is very good. I also have an old injury in my left foot. No one seems to know exactly what the cause is, so I limp. This puts pressure on my right side, from my foot up to my hip, and I get pain in my hip, so I cannot walk above 50 yards without having to rest."

Zanubrutinib for Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "With TE thrombocytémie essentielle after 18 years (Hydréa). No longer supported, Hydréa replaced by Anagrelide. Plus MGUS (IgM) => Lymphome B with small cell CD5 négatif (Small B-cell lymphoma) = WM. Anemia. At the same time, change Hydréa to Anagrelide and Brukinsa started 8 months after. No problems, just reduce the Anagrelide dose from 2/day to 1-2-1-2 ... /day (pellets too low with 2/d)). So no problem after 2 years and IgM ~0.0 now. It works very well for my Waldenström disease. Regards."

Zanubrutinib for Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "On Brukinsa 2 months 2 pills am/pm Hgb up from 9.6 to 12.6 IGM down from 5200 to 1350. No more difficulty in breathing taking stairs. Energy and focus up doing a lot more. Normal muscle recovery after exercise. Large bruise on left arm from blood pressure cuff. 3x/week will go down to 2x/week. Small paper cut on finger bled a lot more. Small wound on sole of foot taking a long time to heal. Itchy skin rash on forehead using Cortaid. With Medicare and Kaiser California and being on low income PGE Care program cost $0.00 covered 100%. Otherwise cost would be annual deductible plus $234/month for the drug."

Zanubrutinib for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "It brought my white blood cell count down from 180k to a normal level of 7k. It also normalized my red blood count and hemoglobin from dangerously low levels. After my diagnosis of CLL, I was on a watch and wait protocol. About a year into it, my energy level dropped and weight loss was at serious levels. My oncology doctor put me on Brukinsa and after 3 months my blood count was normalized. I gained most of the weight back and returned to most of my daily activities within 6 months. My dosage level was a convenient 2 times daily, 2-80mg capsules (320 mg total daily). AON Pharmacy has been the best, over-the-top group of people to work with ever. I love them! I am now nearly a year into the Brukinsa treatment. I am having difficulty with muscle tone and normal strength levels, dizziness, close experiences with fainting, and leg muscle fade to weakness. I attribute these as side effects and am now worried about heart issues."
