For Eye Redness/Itching "This is the worst eye drop I've ever used. The burning I experienced was intense. The itching was horrible. I also had the same experience with Clear Eyes' maximum itchy eye relief. The thing I've found in common with the two is astringent. I don't know if that's it? Just a guess. My suggestion, anyone who experienced burning with Visine Totality, also avoid the Clear Eyes mentioned above."

For Eye Redness/Itching "DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT! I’m warning you. Read these reviews, everyone had the same experience I did. I wish I had read them before buying this. My eyes burned so bad immediately after using. It felt like I poured bleach in my eye. Then the itch started. It’s been 15 mins and it’s just starting to subside after I literally stuck my eyes under my faucet. Why is this still on the market! UNBELIEVABLE."

For Eye Redness/Itching "So. I decided to try the Visine Totality, the very first day I used it, it burned my eyes so bad and also caused them to itch. I used them again today, and the same exact thing happened. My eyes have been burning for 10 minutes now. I’m not sure what they put in the eye drops, but I don't recommend them at all!!!"

For Eye Redness/Itching "Bought this product for the 1st time because I was having red, itchy eyes, and happened to see Visine Totality on the clearance shelf, so I figured it would be fine with some extra benefits, but how wrong I was. I put the drops in, and within 30 seconds, my eyes were burning very badly, then the itchiness started, like you wanted to scratch your eyes out, and it did take the red out, but after rubbing my eyes, they were red again. I used it again a couple of days later because it was all I had, and maybe it was a one-time thing, but no, the 2nd time was even worse. On top of the burning and itching, my left eye felt like I had a cut in my eyeball, and I was putting alcohol in it. BEWARE!!"

For Eye Redness/Itching "I used Totality for itchy dry eyes (which were mild), and my eyes burned and itched throughout the evening. Fast forward a couple of weeks, used it again... eyes burned for about 15 minutes and continued to sting and itch. Never using it again."

"Purchased to help with multiple symptoms waiting for appointment with ophthalmologist (wait list min 6 months for appointment to see ophthalmologist). 1st drop burned and itched my eyes for at least 1/2 hour. Would not recommend this product to anyone!!!! Horrible results! Should really take off shelves. Complete waste of money!"

For Eye Redness/Itching "I decided to try this product because my eyes were red and dry. The minute the drops touched my eyes, it burned like fire. I waited about 30 minutes for the pain to go away before trying it again because my eyes were burning and itching so badly. It just made it worse. It took about 2 hours for the pain to finally go away, and my eyes were still dry and itchy."

For Eye Redness/Itching "Went to the drug store earlier today to buy eye drops. Pollen is so bad in NJ, and my eyes were itching, red, and I had blurry vision. I bought this because it was the most expensive brand, and I figured it would work better. Nope! My eyes are on FIRE! And they itch so bad for 20 mins after using this product. $12.99 down the drain."

For Eye Redness/Itching "After applying the eye drops, I experienced burning and itching in my eyes that lasts for about five minutes and then subsides. I don't know if this is something that should keep me from using it or not. I use it in the morning about 30 minutes before putting in my contacts, only when I need it though."

For Eye Redness/Itching "I had terribly itchy eyes after gardening all afternoon. Without thinking much of it, I used these Visine drops, and my eyes stung terribly for a moment or two. When the stinging ended, my eyes felt better than they had for days. The wonderful results were well worth a few moments of discomfort!"

For Eye Redness/Itching "My first time using the eye drops was for redness. It burned, but after a few minutes, it subsided. But then it felt like there was something underneath the inside of my eyelid, and it was scratching my eyeball terribly. It was bothering me so badly I had to go lie down. That went on for 2-3 days. I didn’t realize at the time it was caused by the Visine. The second time, it did me so bad as I am experiencing this at the present time. It badly burned my eyeball. I used the drops thinking that I had a hair stuck under my eyelid. I kept feeling scraping on my eyeball. Then it turned really red, swollen, and a white, cloudy film kept forming over my eyeball. Every time I removed it, more would come. I woke up the next day, and my eye was stuck shut from drainage. My eye is so huge from swelling. Learning now that this stuff chemically burned my eyeball. Going to see a doctor today. How is this still on the market? Someone's eyes could be severely damaged from using this product."

For Eye Redness/Itching "I woke up with a swollen and itchy eye. No redness, and it's not pink eye. I asked hubby to go by Visine 7 symptom, and oh nelly, did I make the biggest mistake of my life! When he put it in my eyes, it BURNED! I really mean BURNED my eye inside and out! Within a few seconds came the serious itching! When I tell you itching, I mean I wanted to tear my eye out! I scratched with napkins and the tip of my index finger for about 10 minutes! I couldn't help it! I HAD to scratch! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! I wish I would have read these comments before I put this stuff in my eyes! DON'T BUY THIS!"

For Eye Redness/Itching "I bought the new Visine Total Comfort all-in-one drops hoping for better relief for my dry eyes. To my dismay and extreme pain, the drops burned my eyes like fire upon contact. It’s been 4 days since, and I’ve been using just regular TheraTears I used before to help with even further dryness and pain, which it helps. Even my eyelids had an adverse reaction to the new Visine and are painfully red, tender, and itchy. I’ve even considered going to the eye doctor, it hurt so bad, but I have no vision insurance. I tried the new Visine based upon their name brand, past products, and experience in their field, but I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone to try."

For Eye Redness/Itching "I bought this new Visine product on Dec 17, 2021, and upon first use, it burned my eye badly. I didn’t put it in my other eye and immediately washed my eye out, the pain was intense. I went online to Visine (Johnson & Johnson) and wrote them to complain (I’ve never done so before in my life) and see if they would look into it. I did get a response back asking questions and if I had gone to an eye doctor, however, I have no insurance that covers vision, and I’m a retired widow and need to use money wisely (Medicare does not cover vision). They said they deemed it not serious then and would close out my complaint. I was surprised by that by a company of their size and so many people like me having used their products over the years as being a trusted name brand. I guess company and money wins every time over the consumer and a complaint. It’s been 2 months now, and my eye is still painful, it burns as well as inside my eyelid and on top and it’s itchy. I’ve made an appointment with my PCP."

For Eye Redness/Itching "I've consumed cannabis for several decades, and my wife wears contacts, so between the two of us, we've gone through a serious amount of eyedrops from various companies. Visine has always been the golden standard, but they really dropped the ball with this product. It's slightly less irritating than putting gun-smoked sand in your eyes. Expect blurry, stinging eyes that water and make your nose snot up. You'll look like you just got dumped. The itch stops after 30 minutes or so, but by then your eyes are as red because you've been rubbing them so much. Did Johnson & Johnson bother to test this product on humans? It seems doubtful. You know what? I'm contacting J&J and seeing what they have to say for themselves. They have to know that they're selling lava disguised as eyedrops, right?"
