Sildenafil for Erectile Dysfunction "My partner has ED occasionally. He was advised to try Viagra. It was effective after about 2 hours when he achieved a really veiny, stiff erection. This was a great improvement and lasted as long as we needed and again the next morning, however, the side effects were unpleasant flu-like symptoms (i.e. headache, sore throat, blocked nose, etc.) which lasted for many days after. For this reason and due to the high expense we will only use this on 'special occasions' from now on, until we find an alternative."

Sildenafil for Erectile Dysfunction "I am 49 years old. Two years ago, I was promoted to a senior management position. The extra stress at work was all too much and this has contributed to my ability to maintain an adequate erection for sex. I spoke to my Doctor, and he suggested 'Viagra 50 mg' for my problem. It takes around 40 minutes to work and is worth the wait and the money! I find the effects of this medicine last for around 12 hours and is best taken without alcohol and on an empty stomach. The first three times I used Viagra, there were the side effects of a stuffy nose, some minor heartburn, and diarrhea the next day. By the fourth pill, the side effects were all but gone! My wife is not aware that I take Viagra, and she comments on how good our sex has become. Thanks V"

Sildenafil for Erectile Dysfunction "I'm a 28-year-old guy with erection difficulty, mostly I think from performance anxiety and just life anxiety too. I've taken Viagra when I need it for over a year now and it is AMAZING. It will give you firm and lasting erections an hour before taking it. I take 50 mg but find sometimes I take 75 mg if I know I'll have a longer night with the girlfriend. Now, it is expensive, even with insurance it costs about $30 per 100 mg pill. So splitting it would be $15 per 50 mg dose but it is SOO worth it being happy with my girlfriend. It has improved confidence in my sex life immensely, not always worrying if I can get and maintain an erection. The side effects for me (but manageable): stuffy nose, headache, bloodshot eyes, heartburn."

Sildenafil for Erectile Dysfunction "Ok, so I'm 26 years of age and struggled to get hard not because I can't, but because of nerves. My confidence was shocked. I started seeing someone new, and she wished to be active. Lo and behold, I couldn't get hard. So, I got Viagra 25 mg online. I took one 30 minutes before activity, and my goodness! It was amazing, worked so well. I was even more aroused than normal. The hard-on lasted much longer than normal, and if I did go soft, it did not take much to get hard again! The main side effect I found was a stuffy nose, but let's be honest, that was the last thing on my mind! I have also talked to my doctor, and because I did masturbate a lot, like once or twice a day, she did say this too could also be a cause. So, I stopped masturbating as much. Things are much better. Viagra helped with my confidence, and my partner and I are having the best sex of our relationship."

Sildenafil for Erectile Dysfunction "I'm 48, and it makes me feel 20 again 'down there.' I take 25 mg on an empty stomach, pre-dissolved in water, and it works in 10 minutes. Side effects have been very mild: stuffy nose and an occasional light headache. It allows me to be very effective for about 4 to 6 hours with a quick recovery time. This is a great medicine, but don't overuse it. Taking it every day is not as sweet as once or twice a week."

For Erectile Dysfunction "I am 64, with a stent that was put in following a heart attack. I was experiencing ED and was hesitant to use sildenafil until I had, in my mind, stabilized through exercise and dosages of medications. Once I was ready, I started by taking a 25 mg dose (approximately, cut a 100 mg pill down) that had almost no effect. I gradually increased the dosage in 25 mg steps, each having more of an effect until I reached 100 mg. BAM! My wife was shocked/delighted to see it coming back up 5 minutes after we stopped. It was like I was 20 again! The side effects were minimal: slightly stuffy nose, lower backache the morning after (could have been from a dramatic increase in using those muscles), very slight headache (drank a lot of water to cure it), flushed. None of the side effects outweighed the sensation of dopamine being released, though."

Sildenafil for Sexual Dysfunction, SSRI Induced "A strong pill for erection, but with some side effects. 12.5 mg works great (strong erection) 30 min-1 h before and lasts for 3 h-4 h. It's easy to recover erection but can be lost sometimes. Side effects (0 h-4 h): - Stuffy nose. Side effects (4 h-12 h): - Stomach discomfort, indigestion - Sleepiness, trouble sleeping. Tried Levitra, not as strong as Viagra, but some side effects. I'm now trying Avanafil (25 mg) and by now, no side effects (maybe because of its PDE5 highly selectivity), but lasts only 2 h."

Sildenafil for Erectile Dysfunction "I am 59 and have been using Viagra 50 mg for a few years now. When I first started taking it, I got quite a bit of blue vision, some mild headache, and stuffy nose. I've been cutting my 50s in half and taking them about 30-60 minutes before sex. From the get-go, I have always had nice, hard erections that lasted plenty. Here is what I found can weaken the effect of Viagra: 1) fatty foods - do NOT eat a big, greasy burger and then take Viagra expecting a big one... 2) alcohol - I can have a few beers spread over the evening, but any more than that lessens the effect or doesn't last as long as it would normally. My insurance covers my prescription for only $20, but I only get 6 pills a month, 18/90 days, so I'm going to 100s, still cut them."

Sildenafil for Erectile Dysfunction "I found it very effective. I maintained an extremely firm erection within the 4-hour period. Side effects were occasional runny nose and a tired eyes feeling. An unexpected side effect was increased blood flow to the area up until the next day occasionally and could get and maintain an erection."

For Erectile Dysfunction "Viagra is a great help for people who have erection problems. I have trouble holding it for more than 5 minutes, so Viagra 50 mg is the best solution for me. But the side effects are there as well, I experience headache and stuffy nose every time. And when I see the experiences here, it is a common problem."

For Erectile Dysfunction "I am 63 and have experienced mild ED symptoms for a couple of years. Usually, just occasional inability to maintain an erection. Finally tried sildenafil a couple of times. Honestly, I was amazed at the difference. I assume my ED has been encroaching for a while now without me being aware. I guess I didn’t really notice the decline until it became a problem. After 2 times taking one 20 mg tablet, I am sold. Only took it 30 minutes prior. This was the best sex I can remember having in the last 20 years. Really hard erection. It was like being a teenager but actually knowing what I’m doing. Lasted much longer, but incredible orgasm. Side effects were minimal. Both times I woke up a few hours later with a mild headache and a stuffy nose. Took ibuprofen and a Benadryl, and all was good. This was something that I wish I had tried years earlier."

For Erectile Dysfunction "Bad experience with my wife of 40-odd years. The spark was gone. Tried Viagra a few years ago. Made me ill. Feeling sick. Bad headache. Didn't work, basically. New girlfriend, so I thought I'd try Sildenafil. Well, it really works! Take the pill, wait only minutes, and go. Lasts all night and on to the morning. Side effects - headache and a stuffy nose after a couple of hours. You can put up with that, though, eh? Try it!"

For Erectile Dysfunction "In my 50s with no steady sexual partner but was starting to have problems getting, and then if it happened, sustaining an erection when meeting guys. Doc prescribed 50 mg sildenafil. Significant improvement in sexual performance, an erection developed at the prospect of sex and stayed very hard as long as I needed, plus able to perform repeatedly, which was totally new for me. Some loss of sensitivity, but I found the side effects in terms of stuffy nose, headache, flushing, and severe indigestion quite difficult to cope with. I am hoping they will diminish with repeated use."

For Erectile Dysfunction "I had my prostate removed at the very young age of 42. I am now 62, and I thank God and Pfizer for Viagra. The brand name works great for me, although it does give me a very stuffy nose, which I am prone to because of lifelong hay fever. The VA switched to a generic made by TEVA a couple of years ago, as did Express Scripts. That version I find to be as effective as sawdust. I found that generic forms by other manufacturers work as well as the brand name. So it seems it is just TEVA's version that is no good. I'd be interested to know if others have had a similar decrease in effectiveness with the TEVA version. They are white elongated pills."

For Erectile Dysfunction "Just tried sildenafil this weekend. I’m a 40-year-old who has gone through rectal cancer. Although I can still get an erection, they weren’t as firm or long-lasting over the last couple of years as they used to be. Cut a 100 mg pill in half and decided to dissolve it under my tongue to encourage a quicker response. I was a bit skeptical as to how well it would work. I’m not anymore. Only half an hour after the pill dissolved, I could achieve an erection on demand without any physical stimulation. Just thinking of something did the trick. I’ll be honest, I can’t remember the last time just a thought got me fully hard and maintained my erection. So extremely happy with the results. I’ve also noticed the effects seem to remain into the next morning as I’ve woken up with morning wood that I was having problems getting rid of. Did notice a stuffy nose and slight headache, but nothing major at all."

Sildenafil for Erectile Dysfunction "I don't see any women commenting, maybe I'm the first? My husband is 13 years older than me, started having 'unreliable' erections a few years ago (in his late 50s). This was causing me to feel insecure, thinking maybe he just wasn't turned on by me anymore. We did not discuss it, I was afraid it would cause anxiety and make matters worse. Viagra was recommended by a friend, so we tried it, and that was the best erection my husband has ever had! (In 25 years!) I tell him it just helps him meet his best potential. So this has been a part of our lives ever since. The 45-minute wait is actually kind of a turn-on because I know what's coming. I love it and I highly recommend. Side effects: blurry vision and stuffy nose."
