For Anxiety "I was prescribed Propranolol 80 mg for anxiety while driving. I was so scared to drive! My mouth would go dry (my mouth would stop producing saliva-seriously!), I would sweat under my arms profusely, my legs would feel like jelly after stepping out of the car, and my feet would twitch as I was so nervous! I take one 80 mg tablet before driving (I sometimes take two if I'm feeling very anxious). I resumed driving today, and it was a much better experience! I didn't sweat at all, I don't feel scared, my legs don't feel like jelly, my mouth still goes dry, but it's not a huge problem like it was-as I could not produce saliva at all as I was so nervous! Lastly, I do not twitch at all! I do not have any side effects, such as nightmares."

For Performance Anxiety "I have battled with public speaking for 18 years and would get nervous about a speech even if it was months away. It ended the second I took propranolol. I take 20-40 mg 1 hour prior to any public speaking event, and I am completely calm. No racing heartbeat prior to standing up, no shaky voice, no trembling hands, no more anxiety attacks, etc. I can't believe I've spent 18 years trying every technique on the market, herbs, physical training, etc., to finally realize this one medicine would instantly cure me. I was prescribed this by a psychiatrist after I lost all hope, and this has no doubt changed my life and career overnight. I went from a regular engineer to running a division of 200 people now with zero fear of speaking to them."

For Performance Anxiety "I have had a fear of speaking in front of groups for as far back as I can remember. I dreaded the days when I was assigned a presentation to give in front of my classmates. I tried MANY things to overcome my fear (i.e., hypnosis, practice/repetition, etc.), yet nothing seemed to calm my nerves. Oftentimes in college, I would choose to receive F's on assignments because it involved giving presentations. My voice would shake, I would get body tremors, rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, and mentally freeze. One day, I went to see a doctor, and she prescribed me propranolol. Although I doubted it would work, I took a 20 mg dose before a presentation and I couldn't believe the outcome. No more anxious symptoms! So glad I discovered it!"

For Anxiety "I used to take 10 mg before public speaking/presentations in school and shakiness when performing certain medical tasks at work. I have high blood pressure, anxiety, and shakiness during certain presentation tasks. My doctor was concerned about my blood pressure sometimes being 158/90, usually when I knew it was going to be taken. After discussing with her, I'm now taking 60 mg SR, it keeps me stable without the peaks and crashes. I feel a little more energy physically because the fight or flight responses I felt were exhausting my body, although just not much will to get up and at it, and it does make me feel a little lazy/apathetic/foggy, but my doctor said it's still okay to drink coffee. And I feel not as irritable with my boyfriend."

For Anxiety "For the past few weeks, I have been having shaky hands and anxiety during work. This isn't good considering I'm in the dental field. I have no idea what brought on the anxiety since I have been doing this job for over 10 years. It was getting to the point that I feared going to work the next day. I went in and spoke with my GP about this and how I didn't want to take anti-anxiety medication, but I wanted something that would stop my fast heartbeat and shaky hands. She prescribed me propranolol for the days I worked. Well, I breezed through the first day, no problem. I took 30 mg in the AM and did 10 mg 7 hours later. Tomorrow, I'm just going to do 20 mg in the AM to see if it's strong enough. This is the miracle drug."

For Performance Anxiety "I am a 44-year-old female that has dealt with fear of public speaking all my life. I've recently joined an organization where the ability to public speak is a career necessity. I've tried taking Xanax during public speaking engagements. While it would calm me down slightly, it wasn't able to control the adrenaline-induced autonomic responses, such as a shaky voice. Today I took 80 mg of propranolol spaced between 90 minutes to 30 minutes before my presentation and 2 0.5 mg doses of Alprazolam in that 90 minute to 30 minute window before my presentation. I was nervous entering the presentation. As soon as I spoke, no sign of anxiety or shaky voice was evident. I was joking and very natural on stage. I am so grateful for these drugs."

For Performance Anxiety "This medicine really works. As I commented below, I have struggled with panic attacks/anxiety that sometimes sets in when I am about to start presenting/speak in front of many people for 25 years (I am now 43). The strange thing is that sometimes it does not happen. I can't control under which presentation the body launches the full attack. Today I had another presentation for 35 people. I prepared very well. Took 60 mg propranolol 1 hour before. I had no heart racing, none of my usual shaky voice, no choking, etc. The med blocks it, actually. It WORKS. I can present calm as a normal person. I also noticed that I have almost no anxiety in the days before presentations compared to before when I didn't use propranolol as I know I'm going to be fine. I'm now not anxious."

For Performance Anxiety "I am absolutely stunned! I never thought I’d see the day where I don’t have a panic attack while presenting. Propranolol is a godsend for people with performance anxiety. Gave a 5-minute speech without my voice, legs, and arms trembling. Took 40 mg an hour before, which is double my recommended dose (bad idea). I thought I would face the biggest fear of public speaking that no medication can help. Glad I’m wrong. Definitely recommend!"

For Performance Anxiety "As a high schooler who has had bad anxiety since middle school, Propranolol is my savior. I get a red face, shaky hands and legs, weak voice, extremely dry throat, sweaty, and fast heartbeat when I have to read or present anything in front of one or more people. I even sometimes get those when just talking to people who I don't know. I took a Propranolol pill on the first day of school when I knew I would be very anxious and talking to many new people. It was a miracle. I was confident and had no trouble talking. Since then, I have also tried it for presentations, and I delivered a speech for the first time without embarrassing myself with visible and extreme nervous symptoms. I could actually talk without swallowing every 2 seconds. I love it."

For Performance Anxiety "Never posted a review on anything before, but felt moved to with propranolol. I never had a problem with presentations until a bad experience last year, and since then I had completely lost my confidence. Not a good thing in the role I am in. I got a prescription from my doctor, and it really has transformed everything. I have only ever used it when giving a presentation-I take 40 mg (Inderal) an hour to 45 minutes before the presentation, and it works within 5 minutes. You're calm and controlled. Your brain tries to get your adrenaline going and heart pumping, and your body just refuses to. It creates a positive feedback loop, almost as if your body tells your brain, 'Look, there's absolutely NOTHING to worry about'-your brain relaxes, and off you go-no shaking, trembling, sweating, or shaky voice. It's difficult to put into words how grateful I am for propranolol, and whilst my aim is not to have to use it, it's there if I need it."

For Performance Anxiety "I have always suffered from a fear of public speaking and had extreme flight/fight symptoms when I had to present to even a small group. This would see me sweating, blushing, shaking so much I couldn’t hold my papers or drink a glass of water, my voice trembling or cracking, and a desperate urge to run from the room. The patronizing attitude from people who do not have this debilitating issue and tell you, ‘don’t be nervous’ or ‘just practice, take deep breaths and be confident,’ was so unhelpful. I went to my doctor and prescribed 40 mg and tried this before my first job interview in twenty years. I was still naturally nervous and not sure if tablets would work. However, once I started my presentation, I could talk clearly, no shaking, lots of eye contact. I simply exuded more and more confidence the more I spoke, and I smashed the interview. My only regret is I waited 25 years."

For Anxiety "I was given Propranolol for heart palpitations. It was ongoing for a few days due to anxiety and stress. I was given 10 mg to be taken twice a day and three times a day for 3 days. I did not react well to this medication. Day two, I started to feel drunk and in another world. My eyesight was not right. I was unable to eat, I couldn't sleep. It caused severe panic, shaking, and sweating. I stopped taking it after day 4. Stopping this medication suddenly can be unsafe for people with heart issues, but I had to stop taking it due to the side effects. It caused me horrible withdrawal even after 4 days of taking it, I was even more sick after I had stopped. It's now day 6 after stopping, and I'm almost back to normal. I do not recommend this product."

For Performance Anxiety "I have major anxiety when it comes to public speaking, even in meetings or just a few extra strangers. With my group of friends, I’m fine, but when I’m being “judged,” so not fine. I remember I had to do a pitch for work in front of 100 people and bailed last second, and someone had to fill in for me. One of my good friends asked me to MC at their wedding, I naturally panicked but didn’t want to let them down! I took 10 mg one hour before arriving, I took another 10 mg when I got to the venue, and then 30-40 mins another 10 mg. I still had nerves when I started speaking on the mic, but I didn’t have the shakes, and I was able to deliver and enjoy my role all night, I almost didn’t want it to end! I think everyone is sick of me raving on about this magical pill because I’m selling it to everyone!"

For Anxiety "I was prescribed this drug for performance anxiety, and I have been extremely pleased. I take it an hour before a presentation or important meeting, and it completely helps me function and perform normally. I’m still nervous, but it’s not debilitating, and the symptoms like rapid heartbeat, shaky voice, shaky hands, and flushed face are GONE. The doctor that prescribed this made a great point, he said, “this won’t take away all of your nerves, but you never want to lose that completely anyway. A healthy level of nervousness keeps you sharp, and the day you lose all nerve, it’s over.”"

For Performance Anxiety "This drug really works for me. I have severe social anxiety, and every time I talk, even to a friend, I get anxious. I turn red, my voice trembles, and I could not make a sentence. I usually take it during presentations at school, and it is a wonderful drug. I take 20 mg an hour before the presentation. No more shaking, no voice trembling. I am now excited for another presentation because I can do it very well."

For Anxiety "I experienced a really bad panic attack, which I believed I was dying, and after this, I kept experiencing the same sort of panic attacks. My doctor prescribed me 40 mg of propranolol to help deal with the awful side effects that came from this: shaking, high heart rate, and sweating. At first, it helped greatly with reducing my heart rate, and I was so thankful. About two weeks later, I was the worst I had ever been. This medication will lower your blood pressure, this I was never told. I have had a “normal” low blood pressure my entire life. I started experiencing an abnormal heart rate, which made my anxiety worse. My breathing felt altered, and I found it so hard to sleep. I also have the worst diarrhea ever. I am afraid of this tablet, I have to now get weaned off it because they started me at 40 mg, and if I stop suddenly, it might mess my heart up even more. I dread bedtime now and the side effect of these tablets, it had made me more anxious than ever."

For Performance Anxiety "This drug is a miracle drug for those experiencing intense physical signs of anxiety. Wish I had known about this med earlier!!!! Leaves the sweating, tremors, and heart-racing/tachycardia to a bare minimum. I can think more clearly because those physical side effects are no longer in my way... I used to wake up several times per night with my heart racing. And if I was in an anxiety-provoking situation, my hands would shake to the point that it was noticeable for others to see, and that caused even more anxiety and trembling. With this drug, I feel more normalized and can keep these symptoms from overtaking my life. I only take this med when necessary, as it does cause symptoms of acid reflux, which can be very uncomfortable."

For Anxiety "I just felt the need to share my experience as a lot of people will be in my position. I'm a normally very confident lad, I work in a restaurant, so I regularly communicate with people I don't know without issues. I do, however, fall to pieces when in a presentation situation, exam, or interview where anxiety seems to set in. I get shaky, and my mind can go completely blank. I looked online for a possible cure for this when I came across propranolol. I ordered some online via an online UK med store and tested them out today before my apprenticeship test. I honestly can't believe how well they worked. I was talkative and could think throughout the test, an absolute great and staple for hard situations from now on!"

For Performance Anxiety "I thought I was going to have to drop out of college because I was completely unable to do any kind of presentation in front of the class. I actually am very social and have no other kind of anxiety, but when it came time for me to do a presentation, I couldn't talk, my hands were shaking, my heart was going to race out of my chest, and I was sweating heavily. I literally ran out of the classroom and stayed in the bathroom the whole time. I tried again and again and failed each time I tried to present. The anxiety was awful. I went to my PCP and asked her about propranolol (I'd been researching possible meds) and she had no problem prescribing it. I've had two presentations this week and I did them like a boss! This is a wonder drug!"
