"Took it for about two months (skipping doses on weekends and some weekdays due to extreme side effects), started having extreme difficulty breathing, anxiety attacks from not being able to breathe with such a tight chest. Also it made me ridiculously irritable, and mean all the time but I did lose 15 lbs on it. Most of the time I felt like I was literally going insane. Not sure it was worth it though."

"I only took Bontril 105mg for 2 months. I started out at 250lbs!!! I went to buy New clothes and was in a size 18, so depressing! I started out on Bontril 35mg, that did nothing for me so they bumped it up. I did stop drinking cold drinks, and only water. I did not even drink tea. I ate a high protein diet, beef jerky, cheese, and yogurt. They told me 1200 calories but that felt impossible! I did exercise the first month but slacked in the second. I lost 50 pounds total in those 2 months. There after I did not gain my appetite back and got all the way down to 162 pounds. This medicine is absolutely amazing! Its been over 2 years and I just starting gaining some of the weight back due to the depo shot, I will definalty be going back to Bont"

"I took this a while back and lost 16 lbs in one month. I wanted to try the Belviq instead so Dr prescribed that. Made me dizzy and disoriented so started back on the Bontril again. This time around in doing the Atkins diet along with it so I should be ready to go to Cozemel in January. This stuff is great."

"When I was 33 I weighed 185 lbs. I am only 5'3 so I was extremely over weight. I had never had a weight problem before. My average weight was 125 to 130. After four months of staying home and not going out any, I put on the weight fast!!I started the bontril and changed everything. Didnt eat after 6, stopped drinking soda, nothing fried, no fast food, smaller plates for smaller portions and lots of water. In 3 months I got down to 122. I loved it! I tried it a second time in 2012 with no results. It was a stressful time for me. I am now doing it again and have lost 12 lbs in 2 weeks. Its a great product for weight loss! The only side affect I ever experienced was mild constipation when I didnt drink enough water!!"

"When I started taking phendimetrazine I was at 200lbs! I was down 60lbs after only 4 months. I really miss this medicine as it really gave me the right amount of energy I needed to keep a healthy regime going. I have a military doctor now and they will only prescribe orlistat. Phendimetrazine was life changing for me in a positive way."

"My Dr. prescribed Bontril one week ago and have lost 5 pounds. The only side effect was insomnia for 2 days. I usually walk 15-20 mins and when I eat I get full really fast, this is what I needed."

"Due to my rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis I am on steroid shots. I gained 25 pounds in 4 weeks. Lost 11 pounds when I could exercise. Then NOT being able to exercise (RA on feet and ankles). I started Bontril on March 11 and stopped for 9 days because I could not get to the doctor. I have lost 10 pounds. No withdrawal symptoms while off. Would recommend it. Starting tomorrow again."

"I have been on Bontril since December 28th 2010. I am pleased to say that I have lost 7 pounds the first week and 6 pounds the second week and tomorrow will be 3 weeks and I have lost 3 this week. In total I have lost 16 pounds so far. I have experienced the dry mouth, suppressed appetite, and headaches. However, none of them bad enough to make me stop yet. When I look in the mirror I am so pleased. I started out at 171 pounds and now am at 155 pounds. Everyday I am excited to see what my scale says once I get up. I would recommend this to anyone that needs to lose weight. LOTS of WATER will make you feel full so it is very much needed. I haven't been able to exercise yet due to an injury in back."

"I've been taking Bontril SR (105 mg) for 30 days. The 1st week I lost 7lbs and the 2nd week I lost 3 lbs and none since. The 1st week I had tons of energy and a significant decrease in appetite. The 2nd week my appetite started to come back and the energy was gone. I now have almost the same appetite as before, although I do get full a little quicker. Went to Doctor today to get refill. Going to try 1 more month. I did follow the 1200 calorie diet and drank lots of water the 1st 2 weeks. It is hard to restrict calories now that the hunger is back. As far as side effects, I did experience headaches, insomnia and dry mouth for a few days, but that has gone away. I was also irritable that 1st week. Now the only side effect is dizziness if I don't drink enough water."

"I was prescribed Bontril SR 105mg 9/8/10 I weighed 178lbs. I weighed myself for work I was @ 167lbs. I haven't weighed myself since but I can feel it in my clothes week by week and can see it in my face. I just began working out to increase my weight loss so hopefully I'll be 30lbs lighter in 2 months. The one thing I love about this pill is that I have to force myself to eat, which makes me aware of what I'm putting in my mouth. When I want to eat I can't because I always feel full. The bad thing is if I forget to take it. I want to eat everything in sight. Good luck to you all."

"I have only used this medication once and it was amazing for controlling my appetite, even better than phentermine. However, I have migraines and am being treated for them with Topamax. I had a mild headache before taking the Bontril and after taking the Bontril the headache only got worse throughout the day. My energy and mood was terrific, appetite was suppressed. I had total control of what I ate all day and night. When night came, I was in terrible pain with my migraine. None of my usual rescue medicines worked (Imitrex). I was getting nervous, come bedtime, I was restless, could not sleep, had a terrible migraine all night long, like the Bontril wouldn't wear off. I almost went to urgent care for my head since Imitrex was not working."

"I started taking Bontril 105mg for about 4 days and haven't weighed myself yet. I used to take this pill about 4 years ago and lost around 30 pounds, but then stopped taking them when my former Doctor stopped prescribing diet pills. It was until a co-worker referred me to a new Doctor and I am completely happy with him. He first gave me Adipex but after 2 months with no weight loss results he changed me to Bontril last week. I am confident and happy that I am back to this pill and more than sure that it will work. I am 157 and 5" and my goal is to lose 35 pounds before my 20 months old birthday."

"I lost 6 pounds on the first week of taking Bontril, then no more lost. I didn't have cravings at first but after 3 weeks I am hungry again. Headaches are gone, still doing the diet but nothing happens. I will finish the first bottle and see if it is worth it to start a second. I had high expectations."

"I started taking Bontril about 5 days ago and have already lost 11 pounds, Amazing! I am not at all hungry, I have to make myself eat 3 meals a day and the only thing so far is I haven't slept well. Hopefully this will subside. I started at 166 pounds and I am 5'6" tall and my goal is 145 pounds."

"Previous user of Adipex (phentermine), which would work great for the first few weeks, but then totally wear off, not to mention the side effects (insomnia, heart palpitations, constipation, anxiety) were annoying to deal with. Switched to Bontril and am so happy I did. I feel calm and focused. It's the oddest thing to not have to "stress" over counting calories and choosing good food options. It just sort of is a perk with Bontril. One tip: drink lots of water. Bontril, water and clean eating dropped 8.7 pounds off me in a week. One of the best parts is going to bed and being able to sleep, which was hard with Adipex."

"I began using this medication February 5, 2009 and have lost 25 pounds to date. I follow the 1200 calorie intake recommended and go dancing twice a week as exercise. This medication is a great jump start to changing your eating habits. I no longer need to eat pizza, burger, fries, or soda to feel full. Grilled chicken salad is now my new favorite meal. If used appropriately it should help reach your goal."

"I have been taking it for 3 weeks and have lost 6 pounds. I was on Adipex. It has been 5 months in total and I have lost 42 pounds. I have 30 more to go. I am eating 1200-1300 calories a day, and exercising at least 3 times a week."
