"When I started taking phendimetrazine, I was at 200 lbs! I was down 60 lbs after only 4 months. I really miss this medicine as it really gave me the right amount of energy I needed to keep a healthy regime going. I have a military doctor now, and they will only prescribe orlistat. Phendimetrazine was life-changing for me in a positive way."

"Previous user of Adipex (phentermine), which would work great for the first few weeks, but then totally wear off, not to mention the side effects (insomnia, heart palpitations, constipation, anxiety) were annoying to deal with. Switched to Bontril and am so happy I did. I feel calm and focused. It's the oddest thing to not have to 'stress' over counting calories and choosing good food options. It just sort of is a perk with Bontril. One tip: drink lots of water. Bontril, water and clean eating dropped 8.7 pounds off me in a week. One of the best parts is going to bed and being able to sleep, which was hard with Adipex."

"I only took Bontril 105mg for 2 months. I started out at 250lbs! I went to buy new clothes and was in a size 18, so depressing! I started out on Bontril 35mg, that did nothing for me so they bumped it up. I did stop drinking cold drinks and only water. I did not even drink tea. I ate a high-protein diet - beef jerky, cheese, and yogurt. They told me 1200 calories but that felt impossible! I did exercise the first month but slacked in the second. I lost 50 pounds total in those 2 months. Thereafter I did not gain my appetite back and got all the way down to 162 pounds. This medicine is absolutely amazing! It's been over 2 years and I just started gaining some of the weight back due to the depo shot, I will definitely be going back to Bontril."

"My wife was prescribed Bontril as she was a bit overweight about a year after having our child. Three months later, she started having significant side effects which resulted in a full-blown psychosis. Despite no prior mental issues, she was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder at 32 years old, very late for a normal diagnosis of the sort. Two visits to a mental health facility and four years later, she managed to return to the dermatologist who prescribed (and distributed out of his office) the medicine. Two months later, she was dead. The autopsy was inconclusive, and we are currently awaiting toxicology to confirm. Be very cautious of taking this medication."

"I took this a while back and lost 16 lbs in one month. I wanted to try the Belviq instead, so the doctor prescribed that. It made me dizzy and disoriented, so I started back on the Bontril again. This time around, I'm doing the Atkins diet along with it, so I should be ready to go to Cozumel in January. This stuff is great."

"I started Bontril on 6/17/13. The first week, I lost 10 lbs. I eat cleanly and exercise 3 days a week. Side effects include insomnia only if I don't exercise, decreased appetite, increased energy, a slight headache. I haven't lost any additional pounds."

"I have been on Bontril since December 28th, 2010. I am pleased to say that I have lost 7 pounds the first week and 6 pounds the second week, and tomorrow will be 3 weeks and I have lost 3 this week. In total, I have lost 16 pounds so far. I have experienced dry mouth, suppressed appetite, and headaches. However, none of them bad enough to make me stop yet. When I look in the mirror, I am so pleased. I started out at 171 pounds and now am at 155 pounds. Every day I am excited to see what my scale says once I get up. I would recommend this to anyone that needs to lose weight. LOTS of WATER will make you feel full, so it is very much needed. I haven't been able to exercise yet due to an injury in my back."

"Due to my rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis, I am on steroid shots. I gained 25 pounds in 4 weeks. Lost 11 pounds when I could exercise. Then, NOT being able to exercise (RA on feet and ankles). I started Bontril on March 11 and stopped for 9 days because I could not get to the doctor. I have lost 10 pounds. No withdrawal symptoms while off. Would recommend it. Starting tomorrow again."

"I am 70 years young, 5'1'' tall, and did weigh 160. I have been taking Bontril for 6 weeks. I feel great and have lost 12 lbs. I must see my doctor every 30 days to be weighed. I find that I am satisfied with a lot less food. I try to eat a lot of veggies and tiny amounts of meat. Also bread that has 7 grams of fiber. When I get to my target weight of 140 lbs, I will wean myself off the Bontril by taking it every other day at first, then down from there. I do not have an addictive personality."

"Took it for about two months (skipping doses on weekends and some weekdays due to extreme side effects), started having extreme difficulty breathing, anxiety attacks from not being able to breathe with such a tight chest. Also, it made me ridiculously irritable and mean all the time, but I did lose 15 lbs on it. Most of the time, I felt like I was literally going insane. Not sure it was worth it though."

"I was prescribed Bontril SR 105 mg on 9/8/10. I weighed 178 lbs. I weighed myself for work, I was at 167 lbs. I haven't weighed myself since, but I can feel it in my clothes week by week and can see it in my face. I just began working out to increase my weight loss, so hopefully I'll be 30 lbs lighter in 2 months. The one thing I love about this pill is that I have to force myself to eat, which makes me aware of what I'm putting in my mouth. When I want to eat, I can't because I always feel full. The bad thing is if I forget to take it. I want to eat everything in sight. Good luck to you all."

"I have been on Bontril 105 for two weeks today and have already lost 10.3 lbs. I also exercise 45 plus minutes every day and follow the food pamphlet the doctor gave me. I do have a free day on Sunday, though. I have not had any bad side effects or sleeping problems except the first two nights. I am planning to lose at least 40 more lbs and then get off the pills and continue exercising to help me keep it off."

"I began using this medication on February 5, 2009, and have lost 25 pounds to date. I follow the 1200 calorie intake recommended and go dancing twice a week as exercise. This medication is a great jump-start to changing your eating habits. I no longer need to eat pizza, burgers, fries, or soda to feel full. Grilled chicken salad is now my new favorite meal. If used appropriately, it should help reach your goal."

"I started taking Bontril about 5 days ago and have already lost 11 pounds. Amazing! I am not at all hungry, I have to make myself eat 3 meals a day, and the only thing so far is I haven't slept well. Hopefully this will subside. I started at 166 pounds, and I am 5'6" tall, and my goal is 145 pounds."

"I have only used this medication once, and it was amazing for controlling my appetite, even better than phentermine. However, I have migraines and am being treated for them with Topamax. I had a mild headache before taking the Bontril, and after taking the Bontril, the headache only got worse throughout the day. My energy and mood were terrific, appetite was suppressed. I had total control of what I ate all day and night. When night came, I was in terrible pain with my migraine. None of my usual rescue medicines worked (Imitrex). I was getting nervous, come bedtime, I was restless, could not sleep, had a terrible migraine all night long, like the Bontril wouldn't wear off. I almost went to urgent care for my head since Imitrex was not working."

"I've been on Bontril for 2 months now and am on the keto diet. I've lost almost 30 lbs with very little exercise. I'm very active at work, and my job is physically demanding. I've noticed a definite increase in energy, and I'm never hungry. The only side effects are: my balls ache, I can't poop, and it's hard to pee sometimes. My wife started keto at the same time as I did without the Bontril, and she has lost 17 lbs, and we both feel great."

"I am 46 years old 5'10" and was 220lb. I started on Bontril Slow Release 35 mg 3x a day and lost 10 lbs in the first 2 weeks. My dr. switched me to the long acting once a day pill and I lost another 18 lbs in the following 2 weeks. I have never felt better. The best part of this, and likely why I have lost so much weight, is the sex. My wife is so pleased with me. it is like being a teenager again. I'm talking 2, sometimes 3 times a day!. I come home for lunch everyday now but not to eat (at least not food anyway ;-)). This stuff is the best! It has given me a new lease on life."

"I have been taking Bontril 105 for 6 months now. I have lost a total of 40 lbs, but I am not the strictest of people. I have changed my diet a lot but still have days where I cheat and eat bad things. Went through 3 kinds of pills before I got to this one due to headaches daily."

"I've been taking Bontril SR (105 mg) for 30 days. The 1st week I lost 7 lbs and the 2nd week I lost 3 lbs and none since. The 1st week I had tons of energy and a significant decrease in appetite. The 2nd week my appetite started to come back and the energy was gone. I now have almost the same appetite as before, although I do get full a little quicker. Went to the doctor today to get a refill. Going to try 1 more month. I did follow the 1200 calorie diet and drank lots of water the 1st 2 weeks. It is hard to restrict calories now that the hunger is back. As far as side effects, I did experience headaches, insomnia, and dry mouth for a few days, but that has gone away. I was also irritable that 1st week. Now the only side effect is dizziness if I don't drink enough water."

"Any side effects I had went away after a week or so. I've lost 14 pounds so far, and it's only been 2 months. If I were to exercise, I am sure I would have lost a lot more by now. I am not hungry, and when I do eat, I am satisfied with just a little food."

"42 year old 5’6” female Started at 181lb on March 19th and down to 159lb on June 12th. Only took one tablet a day. Taking more than that and I had zero appetite. Caused severe constipation so drink plenty of water and eat lots of fiber. Very effective drug without making me jittery. Recommend for anyone who needs some help. I hope to be down to 140 in next 4-6 months."

"I started taking Bontril 105 mg for about 4 days and haven't weighed myself yet. I used to take this pill about 4 years ago and lost around 30 pounds, but then stopped taking them when my former doctor stopped prescribing diet pills. It was until a co-worker referred me to a new doctor, and I am completely happy with him. He first gave me Adipex, but after 2 months with no weight loss results, he changed me to Bontril last week. I am confident and happy that I am back to this pill and more than sure that it will work. I am 157 and 5' and my goal is to lose 35 pounds before my 20-month-old birthday."

"I lost 6 pounds on the first week of taking Bontril, then no more lost. I didn't have cravings at first but after 3 weeks I am hungry again. Headaches are gone, still doing the diet but nothing happens. I will finish the first bottle and see if it is worth it to start a second. I had high expectations."

"When I was 33, I weighed 185 lbs. At only 5'3", I was extremely overweight. I had never had a weight problem before, My average weight was between 125 and 130. After four months of staying home and not going out at all, I put on weight fast! I started taking Bontril and changed everything: Didn't eat after 6, stopped drinking soda, avoided fried foods, no fast food, used smaller plates for smaller portions, and drank lots of water. In three months, I got down to 122 lbs. I loved it! I tried it a second time in 2012 with no results. It was a stressful time for me. I am now trying it again and have lost 12 lbs in 2 weeks. It's a great product for weight loss! The only side effect I ever experienced was mild constipation when I didn't drink enough water."
