For COVID-19 "On 6/24/22, I was diagnosed with Covid after a horrible night of vomiting, intestinal disorder, bad headache, and burning sensation on the palms of my hands and fingers. I have been double vaxxed with two boosters. The last one was 5/2/22. My doctor prescribed Paxlovid immediately, and I began taking the medication the evening of 6/24. Within 5 hours, I could feel the medication working. It was a real game changer for me. I had a slight odd taste in my mouth from the meds, but it was not offensive. My weak point is my lungs, and I felt that I had some congestion in them, but the medication was fighting hard to slow it down and reverse it. It has been 48 hours since my first dose, and I feel that I am 90% back to normal. To me, this is phenomenal. My only side effects were the fleeting metallic taste in my mouth, and I had one bout of intestinal disorder, which I think was caused by eating spicy food. I am grateful for a drug that can fight the awful symptoms and medical fallout of Covid."

For COVID-19 "A Wednesday I started sneezing and having fatigue, Thursday coughing and nausea and tested negative that night. Friday all of my symptoms were worse and in addition I started fainting, vomiting and developing fevers and at an urgent care I tested positive Friday. Made an appointment the next Monday with my doctor who had me start Paxlovid for my risk. In the first 30 minutes of the first dose I had a fuming taste in my mouth that was coming out of my throat consistently. The taste would fluctuate from bad to worse during the 5-day dosage. I had body aches and diarrhea the first 2 to 3 hours after each dose. I had a headache twice while taking it. All of my other initial Covid symptoms except nausea went away while I was on Paxlovid. I could not eat very well due to loss of taste while taking. Two days after completing the dosage I am slowly tasting again. I started mildly coughing and having congestion after completing. Just knowing the potential of hospitalization it was worth its symptoms to me."

For COVID-19 "Started Covid with 3 vaccinations. Attended an outdoor party that Saturday. 70th birthday party. Left 4-5 hours later. Woke up at 2:30 a.m. with a terrible migraine and vomiting forcefully for about 8 or 9 hours. (Food poisoning?) My nasal passages became blocked. My left ear wasn’t right. I continued to worsen. On Monday, my husband came home from work, having tested positive. I tested and was also positive. We both began texting and calling our friends to spread the word-we were Covid positive. Called the pharmacy to ask about the new pill. They had it, but it needed a prescription. Called the doctor, talked about testing positive and Paxlovid. Luckily, it was available at my pharmacy. Was confused by pharmacy instructions. Realized that AM & PM contained the same medication. My face hurt too. (Was it from vomiting?), ears strange, respiratory symptoms set in with a dry hacking cough. I was confused, unsteady too. I had a bad sore throat. Improved after 5 days. Ear still affected. Stopped Lipitor after 1st dose."

For COVID-19 "I took the 1st dose in the AM, and in a couple hours, had a terrible taste in my mouth, and by evening, I had terrible stomach cramps and vomiting. Called the doctor and was told to stop taking it."

For COVID-19 "I was prescribed Paxlovid after two days after testing positive and experiencing chest tightness. My symptoms from fever subsided, but the stomach issues caused explosive diarrhea and vomiting. I attempted to go back on day six and was unable since I was so uncomfortable being away from a toilet. The acid taste in my mouth was awful, I am glad there was a suggestion for gum or mints, but I felt I constantly had to have water or something to drink. This medicine (or COVID) decreased my appetite and changed the flavor of all foods due to the taste it left in my mouth. I woke up often due to the urge to vomit because the taste was so horrendous. Heavy-duty medicine, heavy-duty side effects."
