Mometasone nasal "Nasonex worked great for what it was intended. My nasal passages opened up during the worst allergy season on record, and I didn't want to scratch my face off. I had to stop using it, though, because it was causing tension headaches and eye weirdness. I even stopped and started again to make sure it was the Nasonex, and it was. Oh well. It's worth trying if your insurance covers it, otherwise, it's $200+..."

Mometasone nasal "I have been taking Nasonex for 8 years for seasonal allergies to various tree pollens. I get the horribly itchy eyes/nose/palate and runny nose. If I start taking Nasonex a few weeks prior to spring pollen season, it really helps and reduces about 90% of my symptoms. This way, I can still function for the month or two of pollen season. I would recommend this to people with birch tree allergies."

"I kid you not. Reading these reviews has made me realize I wasn’t going crazy, and it will take a serious amount of sleep to catch up! 6 months pregnant. Rhinitis. Get it every time. I use xylometazoline, but it’s not good long term, so I'm trying to limit my use. The doctor said to try Nasonex, so prescribed me this so I could wean off the xylometazoline. Within 3 hours of taking it, I did initially feel better, although my nose wasn’t completely unblocked. Until I went to bed. As I am writing this, it is 4:45 am, I haven’t been to sleep. I’ve had night sweats, heart palpitations, anxiety, and a crying session. I didn’t know what was wrong with me until I read the reviews after I thought it could well be. I am shocked I am not alone! I cannot fathom how any doctor can prescribe something so toxic, especially to a pregnant woman."

Mometasone nasal "After having quite a lot of tests on allergies done, and still unable to find out what the problem of my running nose was, using Nasonex helped to relieve the most unpleasant effects of my condition. I have not experienced any side effects. What I enjoy the most is that this spray doesn't destroy or acidify my nose."

"Always suffered with sinus problems, but about six months ago, I started to do a sinus rinse about three times a week. And one side of my sinus cleared. But the other side still felt blocked. Went to the doctor, they prescribed mometasone nasal spray. After three days of using, my sinuses felt really dry. Was getting headaches, felt dizzy. I came off it. I will persevere with my sinus wash."

Mometasone nasal "Nasonex changed my life! I have severe hay fever symptoms, but using Nasonex every night before going to sleep relieved all symptoms. I have been using it for 8 years, and I can genuinely say that it changed my life."

Mometasone nasal "I've been using it for a while, and it didn't work well for me. I changed to another spray, and it got much better. I also had the problem where the mist did not actually reach where it was supposed to go, but rather just drooled out."

"I have been using mometasone furoate 50g nasal spray for the last 4 months, and it's a miracle for my rhinitis allergy. I got a runny nose, sneezing, and headache all year round for the last 15 years, and I've been using a lot of medicines like Rigix, Loratadine, Avamys spray, but nothing worked. I started researching about this allergy, found out about this spray, and talked to my doctor about it. This is the only spray that has worked, I feel so relieved and have no symptoms so far."

Mometasone nasal "I've been using Nasonex off and on for quite a few years, especially in the wintertime, as I have a constant runny nose and frequent sinus infections. I recently realized that I have frequent headaches and migraines, mostly in the wintertime also. This medication was a godsend for me in the beginning, but it's not anymore. After long-term use, it seems like my sinuses are burning all the time, and my nose is still running whether I use it or not. I often have heart palpitations and have even had heart tests for that. I have decided to go off this medication for a long period of time to see if any of the symptoms I've described are caused by Nasonex."

"Had been suffering from allergic rhinitis for years. I suffer from perennial rhinitis, always having a blocked nose, itchy eyes, and nose. And sometimes a runny nose too. This nasal spray has helped a lot, at least in opening one nostril, and I advise everyone to try nasal irrigation. Take care."

Mometasone nasal "Absolutely a wonder drug. For me, this changed my life after years of miserable, miserable allergy seasons. I have almost ZERO allergy symptoms in the spring while taking this for the last 3 years. Unclear if there are side effects, will pay more attention when I stop this year. Anyway, they are minor enough to justify this drug that totally changed my spring from hell to something quite better."

"Took 1 dose in the evening to alleviate allergy symptoms. The next morning, my throat was hurting more, and my nose was plugged. Throughout the day, my body started hurting, and I could feel my throat starting to close up. My tongue and uvula were swollen, my body was in immense pain, my hands were very red, and I was extremely lightheaded. I waited for an hour at the doctor's before almost going into anaphylactic shock. I got an injection, went home, and proceeded to take another dose of the nasal spray. That’s when it struck me that it’s the nasal spray that gave me this reaction. Immediately, the body pains and lightheadedness were back, this time accompanied by a very intense headache, fever, and chills. I took some antihistamines and went to bed, this feeling didn’t go away until I went back to the doctor the next day for another allergy shot. I’m now on a hefty dose of antihistamines, and I noticed the lining of my nose is swollen and slightly yellow. I hope I recover from this soon."

"I was using the nasal spray (aqueous) for my rhinitis, but it never really went away, and I had one blocked nostril for about a year. The doctor prescribed mometasone furoate. I used it once (two sprays), my symptoms have gone! Completely gone!"

"Using mometasone nasal spray, and now both sides of my nose feel closed up, so I can't get air in unless I pull it open. Wasn't like this before. Also stings nose and throat. Not going to continue using."

"Had family history of constant issues with hypersensitivity of nose that stretches over three generations. This hero - mometasone nasal spray - is the only fix that is available, and I give it a nice 9.9 (I took off 0.1 due to the dodgy bottle)."

"Have been suffering from chronic runny nose, having to let it drain into a bucket for 3-4 hours every morning for the last 8 months. Ironically, a side effect of my immunotherapy for cancer. I tried every antihistamine and nasal spray, all to no avail. I was prescribed this 2 days ago - 2 x 2 sprays each day. I know it is still early, but, WOW, it is working amazingly and it's extremely high pollen season at present. Hope it continues!"

"I'm sorry that many of you had negative experiences with mometasone spray. I took it for my nasal allergies, which were causing problems breathing through my nose, and it cleared those up quickly. Also helped me gain weight when I was borderline underweight. Would highly recommend."

"I have used Nasonex allergy nasal spray (Mometasone) quite a few times for very brief periods. This product does work instantly for my allergic rhinitis, which can be a relief when you have a constantly running nose every day. Unfortunately, all the times I have used Nasonex, it has resulted in me experiencing instant and severe depression, which I normally suffer from, so I stop taking Nasonex and then I am happy (but with a runny nose). How come depression or sadness are never mentioned as possible side effects on any health sites? I thought it was only me until I read some reviews on this page."

"I was prescribed this by my GP when diagnosed with allergic rhinitis, which I had been suffering from for a long time, and nothing I used was working. Once I started it, for the first few days I had a bit of blurred vision for an hour or so, but after that, no side effects, and my allergies started to be under control. I use this alongside antihistamines, and finally, my allergies are starting to be controlled, so I would recommend it to anyone who is struggling."

Mometasone nasal "I was on Nasonex for 5 months, and it was very helpful in relieving my sinus issues and my ETD, which were caused by allergies. However, the side effects are hard to deal with, so eventually I decided to switch to using antihistamines rather than steroid sprays."

Mometasone nasal "I had a cold with a stuffy nose, so I don't know why my doctor prescribed this for me. I wish I could give this product a zero. It did absolutely nothing for me except give me severe nosebleeds. I would love to contact the company to complain, but I can't find their contact information anywhere. Worst 50 bucks I ever spent."

"Seemed to help with the pain and aches from sinus and ears. But I developed a regular, very noisy wheeze inhaling (lower right lung area on deep breaths), which was audible to people sitting next to me over the couple of days taking the spray. Enough to concern me and research whether the spray had caused it. It can be a rare side effect. Going to GP to discuss."

"Tried this medication for my post-nasal drip, however, even though it relieved my symptoms of post-nasal drip, it gave me a really bad cold, chills, headache, and caused me to feel lethargic. I will not use this product again and will try to find another product that will treat my post-nasal drip without any of these side effects."

Mometasone nasal "It is a nightmare! Our pedia prescribed Nasonex for my 1-year and 10-month-old baby because he is having difficulty breathing at night. When he started using Nasonex, everything went wrong. My baby's nose has a very loud sound when he is inhaling and difficulty breathing, which is getting much worse. I am worried it could be life-threatening because he cannot breathe. We don't have normal sleep anymore. When I stopped giving Nasonex, the bad side effects lessened, although he still has trouble breathing. I pray to God that everything will get normal soon."

Mometasone nasal "This is the best product I've ever used for allergies. For a long time, I've suffered terribly with hay fever, which antihistamines controlled, but it was the constant itchy face, nose, and neck that made life miserable for me, and I couldn't find anything to control it. I had tried other nasal sprays, but to no avail. A friend recommended Nasonex, and I tried it reluctantly. After 1 week of taking it (one spray in each nostril every morning), I am delighted. No more itchiness, sneezing, watery eyes, and no more misery!! I'm very happy and grateful, and I've suffered no side effects so far."
