"I had 3 shots for 3 consecutive days. I took Claritin before the shots to help with the side effects. The shot itself didn't hurt, but during the shot, I suddenly had extreme pressure in the back of my head and my forehead. This continued throughout the day and got worse. I felt like my head was in a vise grip. I ended up taking 200 mg of ibuprofen to help dull the pain. During the third shot, I had a weird pain in my heart that happened twice. After the shot, I developed a low-grade temperature and some back pain. Tylenol helped keep it below the range of taking an antibiotic. It's been rough. Lots of fatigue, heart discomfort, and a general feeling of unwellness. My white cell count did go up substantially but has gone back down (I have cyclic neutropenia). The fatigue is worse than I normally get when my white cell count plummets. I'm debating if I'm willing to get the shots again. I have been told the first set of shots is the worst."
