"I was switched to Complera from toxic nevirapine/lamivudine/elsulfaverine. Pluses are: I felt much better, I lost weight on Complera, my belly got slim. My heart became good, I was able to bicycle. My brain and memory got clear to work, I felt much better few years, my blood test was good. Minuses are: I didn't want to eat meat because every hard food made my stomach feel uncomfortable, later in time I found that bread made me feel uncomfortable too. Then saturated fats. Every time something new. I didn't know what to eat. Only salads and eggs. Also, I had a reaction to coffee. The next day I was very nervous (cortisol rising). My eyes got bigger. My face skin looks saggy, older, but I'm only 40 years old. I found in the instruction that rilpivirine (in Complera) causes lipodystrophy. I had constipation, I had a ganglion cyst on my hand, exostosis in my mouth. I became more grumpy and always cared about politics. Finally, I got muscle pain and a gallbladder polyp and decided to switch after 4 years of using. Not for a long time!"

"I love Complera because it has manageable side effects. I had such side effects as joint pain, depression, nervousness, fat on the back of my neck, sleepiness, stomach pains, enlarged eyes, smelly urine, more sensitive and cracking teeth, dandruff... But ALL OF THESE are the result of interaction with food high in caffeine and purine! (Coffee, chocolate, meat, pork, tea, cola) I removed all these products and all side effects disappeared! Also, I removed all dairy products because they affect my legs' lipoatrophy. High fructose products and fruits (watermelon, honey, sodas, and others...) affect visceral fat gain and slower digestion! Almost no bloating and gas after 'plank' exercises."

"A year in on this med and feeling extreme fatigue. When I say extreme fatigue, I mean exhausted and out of breath. Not sure what and when it will go away!"

"It's been almost 2 years since switching over from Atripla to Complera, and I've never had any problems or side effects with the medication. I usually take Complera after dinner."

"It's only been a week since starting, but so far I have absolutely no side effects. The first two nights I had weird dreams, but now I'm back to normal."
