For Dry Skin "This lotion says it is hypoallergenic, yet one of the ingredients is methyllisothiazolinone, which was voted by the dermatological society as the number one allergen of 2013. It is usually used in shampoos and liquid soap, but to have it in a lotion is terrible. If you aren't allergic, you may become allergic with continued usage. Beware. This lotion has too much water in it for very dry skin. Go with a cream. The package says to recycle but isn't marked for USA recycling."

For Vaginal Dryness "Every single time I use any lube, it causes issues. I'm either allergic, or it's something in it that women shouldn't put in their bodies. I even have to have dry vag exams so the Dr. doesn't use those lubes on me, even for obgyn Sonos. PLEASE FIX THIS PRODUCT! For Dry Skin "My daughter used the orange mango smoothie lip balm last night, and her lips are twice their normal size. They are itchy and painful. She has either had an allergic reaction, or there is something seriously wrong with this product - having just now read all of these comments about allergic reactions. Blistex needs to pull these off the shelf and investigate what ingredient they used that is causing so many reactions. Don’t use this product."

For Dry Skin "This gave me an extreme allergic reaction over my entire body. Within three days, my feet were blood red, extremely itchy, hot, and uncomfortable. Finally, I had to go to the emergency room. Treatment was only for my left foot, however, both feet, both legs, my entire stomach, my mouth, and lips are swollen. Inside my nose is scabbed. Still itching deep into my palms and cannot stop clawing my palms. I have discontinued for 5 days now and am still itching! I still look like a burn victim with an extensive rash. My doctor did not recommend I place Mederma on moist skin. He also tried to push this off on a new soap? New food? What the heck!"

For Dry Skin "I had two facial skin biopsies performed by a dermatologist who gave me several packets of Polysporin to aid in wound healing. I had a horrible reaction to this salve (itching, redness, draining). I went back to this doctor who looked at the wounds and told me I had an allergic reaction, discontinued it, and substituted it with Vaseline. After several days of using Vaseline, this also didn't help at all. I went to another dermatologist who examined my wounds and gave me two sample tubes of Biafine. Within two days, I was so much better. Redness, itching, and wound weeping were down considerably. I firmly believe that if I had Biafine right away, I would not have suffered as I did."

For Dry Skin "So I’m at the store for my daughter because she asked for a face cleanser, and I’m in the aisle. I’m not quite sure what’s good or not. For help, I ask this woman who’s with her two daughters which one is suitable for dry skin. She explains how her daughter has been using 'Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser,' while she hands me a bottle. 'It’s the best,' or so she said. So I pay, and I show my daughter as soon as I get home, and she is just so excited to try it out. After her shower, her cheeks and forehead are red, under her eyes are slightly swollen. Apparently she had an allergic reaction to the cleanser. 'Hypoallergenic' NOT."

For Dry Skin "I have used Blistex Mint for years, and I never had a problem with it till I bought another one in 2022. My lips were experiencing some super dryness, and it became watery on my bottom lips, so I applied more Blistex moisturizer. Then the water started to harden and form clumps! I have bought a Blistex peach flavor, which first made me have an allergic reaction, and then I switched to Blistex Mint thinking my lips would be healed, but it got worse. :( My lips are still hurting, and it’s extremely uncomfortable."

For Vaginal Dryness "I’ve tried before, didn’t connect the burning with the product until this time. After the third application, I felt a burn coming on, and over an hour or so got so intense I felt like I had to give birth to a ball of acid. It hurt to urinate like a severe UTI. I have chills and feel like my bladder is spasming. I know it’s not a UTI because I checked my urine. This stuff also, I think, mixes with the normal vaginal secretions and is causing the white clumps that feel like grit almost. I’m not sure if this is an allergic reaction or what, but I wouldn’t wish this burning UTI pain on my worst enemy. I’m not sure that using any vaginal gel, cream, etc., is healthy as I can see how it would cause a UTI or worse. What’s even worse, a NP told me to use it."

For Dry Skin "I have had issues with all lip balms that contain beeswax. This is a new allergic reaction that started a year or so ago. It took a bit of research to find the ingredient that was the root of the reaction. It is not the beeswax itself, but actually a pesticide that is used. The bees pick up the pesticide, and it gets transferred to us when beeswax is used in a product. I stick with the Vaseline in the tube. It’s just petroleum jelly."

For Dry Skin "I've been using Blistex products like the Medicated Lip Balm, Lip Vibrance, and Raspberry Lemonade Blast for about 2 years now, and recently my lips are getting a burning, irritated, dry, and chapped feeling. I saw the reviews here and decided to do some research on what's causing it so other people can avoid them. I found a website listing the ingredients and searched up which of the ingredients were causing it, and there are 6 ingredients. First listed was artificial or natural flavoring, which could cause an allergic reaction for some people. The second ingredient was phenoxyethanol, which is a preservative that could cause irritation, particularly after prolonged usage. The third ingredient was saccharin, which is a sweetener that can dry out lips. Alumina is generally considered safe, but in rare cases may cause or contribute to dryness. The last 2 ingredients are the ones used for sun protectant: titanium dioxide and silica, which are not usually irritating but can be drying in some formulations."

For Dry Skin "I used CeraVe lotion all over my body and broke out in hives! Everywhere I scratch, there were lines raised-definitely an allergic reaction. They should put something on the bottle saying that there is a chance that you could be allergic to this type of lotion. But they make it sound so benign. I'm absolutely miserable, and it's been 4 days since I applied the CeraVe lotion. Still have hives. 5 showers later!"
