For Dry Skin "Started using Cetaphil face cleanser in January 2021, and till this time never snapped that the cleanser was giving me red, swollen, itchy, very dry eyes and some pain. Lips also chapped and swollen. Went to see a specialist, and he asked what I have been using new to my face. Felt like an idiot when I snapped it’s the freaking Cetaphil. Came home and threw the product in the trash and now taking meds to recover."

For Dry Skin "I have used CeraVe for my diabetic dry skin only once, and it was a disaster. The dry skin began to peel off, and my leg began to bleed, and it was painful... never again. The tube of CeraVe has no warning of these conditions, and the matter should be reported."

For Dry Skin "My daughter used the orange mango smoothie lip balm last night, and her lips are twice their normal size. They are itchy and painful. She has either had an allergic reaction, or there is something seriously wrong with this product - having just now read all of these comments about allergic reactions. Blistex needs to pull these off the shelf and investigate what ingredient they used that is causing so many reactions. Don’t use this product."

For Dry Skin "After a few hours of using this product (Blistex Fruit Smoothie Strawberry Coconut), my lips were burning, red, and swollen. Haven't used this product in almost 24 hours, and it is still swollen, sore, red, and burning. Do not buy this product."

For Dry Skin "I just used this product for 3 days in a row. Woke up day 4 with red burns on my face where wrinkle repair was applied. Very sore and irritating. I did have a low-grade fever but did not put the two side effects together right away. I will be returning this product to where I purchased it. I will warn everyone I know about this awful experience with this product. I guess I will learn to embrace my wrinkles."

For Vaginal Dryness "I’ve only used it once so far recently. I tried it many years ago, and it was so watery it was almost as if you peed your bed. No burning this time, but yes to the white clumps. I couldn’t imagine what they were until I came across this website. But I have also had the white clumps from (HyloGyn)? And other vaginal moisturizers that I have tried. So I’m guessing it is dead skin cells from all of them. Would have been nice for the makers of these products to let you know. I’m hoping I don’t get bleeding or pain. Menopause is awful."

For Dry Skin "For years I've tried to use CeraVe cream because it's recommended by dermatologists, but every single time I apply it, it burns and turns my face red. I've tried the moisturizing cream, the lotion, and the hydrating cleanser too. They all burn and sting horribly, leaving my face red, sore, and splotchy. I also end up with more clogged pores and uneven skin texture too. I am surprised at how many other people have noticed these horrible effects, I thought it was only me."

For Dry Skin "I bought a set of 3 fruit smoothies Blistex lip balms. At work, I ran out of my Burt’s Bees and pulled these guys out. I have been using them at work for 3-4 days and couldn’t figure out why my lips hurt, were scaly, swollen, and really burning (where my lip meets the inside of my mouth). Then I figured out this is the only new thing I have done different. No outdoor time, no new foods, or new face lotions. And even only using them 6 hours a day (then other kinds at home), they have totally blown up my lips! I read these reviews and it confirmed my suspicions! Just don't use these! Yikes!"

For Vaginal Dryness "I am 56 years old and experienced a surgical-induced menopause after having both ovaries removed 12 months ago. I started using Replens approximately 3 weeks ago, and it states to use twice weekly. My GP prescribed it as I was experiencing what I can only describe as discomfort around the urethra (and just inside the vaginal opening). After using Replen 5 times, it's not helped much, but I haven't experienced the brown discharge or any discharge for that matter, which worries me as if I'm putting it up there, where's it going? I'm writing this as three days ago I started with irritation in the vaginal opening, which has gotten worse. Day 3 today, and only toilet paper with cold water soothes it. The area is sore, red, and has a burning sensation. I've used Canesten thinking it might be that, but after reading these comments, I'm convinced it's Replens that's causing it. I am also on Vagifem twice weekly and HRT 1% daily. This product is expensive too. Going to try natural SYLK now, as lots of women have recommended it."

For Vaginal Dryness "Absolutely shocking!! I am swollen and on fire inside and outside, labia is swollen. This is the second time I’ve used it, first time same thing, thought I had inserted it incorrectly, but no, same thing second time. Can hardly keep my legs together!! This product needs to be taken off the shelves, not even going to go there with the white clumps, it’s painful and shocking!!!!!"

For Dry Skin "I have had outbreaks on the palms and between fingers over the past five years. It was painful, and my skin would get quite raw at times. I tried over-the-counter creams and a cortisone cream prescribed by a dermatologist, but nothing seemed to help. I started using the EpiCeram cream prescribed by the same dermatologist, and it took several days before I began to see results, but I can say that my hands are in better shape than they have been in years now. I am still cautious, using gloves when cleaning or washing dishes, but I think that, although it has been a very slow, gradual process, there has been a significant improvement."

For Dry Skin "So I ran out of my normal chapstick, and so I grabbed this one because I figured it's medicated, so it must be good, and after using it for a few days, my lips got SUPER swollen and red and itchy and burning and very, very painful. It's been a few days, and the symptoms haven't gone down at all. I am considering calling my doctor. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT."

For Dry Skin "My teen daughters have used Cetaphil products for quite a few years on the recommendation of our dermatologist. It's always worked very well. I just bought more of the daily cleanser for them, and the bottles say 'new and improved.' Soon after using it, their skin began to burn and turn red and bumpy. I applied cortisone cream, which helped a bit, but it is still red and sore this morning. Imagine a 13-year-old going to school with her skin looking like that -- how humiliating. I see in these comments that this is happening to lots of people using the new version. Why did they change a perfect product? I don't know which ingredient is the culprit, but we'll be searching for another brand."

I paid a lot of money with the hopes of not having painful intercourse. After several attempts in the past year, I am at a loss as to what will work."

For Dry Skin "After using it, I got a skin allergy. This is the first for me. I got all tests for STDs and BV, and yeast, all came out negative. Turns out it's an allergy from warming K-Y. So now I'm in pain with an ice pack between my legs. Regretting using this."

For Vaginal Dryness "I have persevered with Replens pessaries on and off since menopause for over 5 years. It burns like crazy initially, and the pessaries scrape the skin going in. Very painful. This then turns to constant itching. There is momentary relief, having that feeling of lubrication, but by the next day, it has all fallen out, and back to square one again. The pain of insertion puts me off using it as it gives me urinary infections. I've been to about 6 different consultants who said there was nothing wrong with me, and I just didn't know where to turn. I have had no relief for nearly 6 years. Going to the toilet is painful, and sex is completely out the window."

For Vaginal Dryness "I’ve used Replens for several years and have had no problems except when the company started using the newer style applicator. It does not have a rounded end and was painful to use and caused bleeding. Fortunately, I had saved some of the old, round-end reusable applicators. I am having trouble finding the tube of Replens rather than the pre-filled applicators. I use about half of the recommended amount once or twice a week. Am 24 years past menopause."

For Dry Skin "I used this every night for 14 days. The first week I felt some small pains on my chin that felt like emerging pimples, but I didn’t see anything. By day 12, two papules had emerged on my chin, which is extremely rare for me (like hasn’t happened in a decade rare). I kept using it for two more days, but for each of those days, two MORE papules emerged. I stopped using the wash at that point, but the damage was apparently done. It’s been two weeks since I stopped and a new, painful pimple has emerged every day. They seem to cluster around my upper lip and the side of my chin. It is horrifying. Be careful with this product."

For Dry Skin "I bought the bar because I have sensitive skin on my hands, and I cannot use most soaps and scrubs. The Cetaphil made my hands so dry that touching anything felt like rubbing sandpaper across a sunburn, it was terrible. Even applying lotion to try to make the tightness, dryness, and pain go away was hurtful. I will not use this again. I have no idea how this is gentle or dermatologist-recommended."

For Vaginal Dryness "Be very wary when using this product. As per many of the ladies on this forum, I have experienced a really bad reaction to this medication and wish I had seen these reviews beforehand. I was diagnosed with severe vaginal atrophy in July, and the first round of HRT has not worked yet, nor estriol pessaries or cream from the Gyn. The GP recommended Replens. Total disaster - horrible burning and pain while urinating. Already had the start of a UTI, which compounded the situation. Inside looked as bad as it felt. Soreness, itching, and pain with swollen labia, internal AND external. I have also had the white clumpy residue. I wonder if that is related to the cramping. I will never use this again and will need to find out how to report these issues. If this product helps someone, then that’s great, but the majority of us are in worse shape from having tried this. If I could rate this 0 or a minus rating, I would. This product should be pulled from circulation."
