For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It's a slow burn for me. I'm shocked by those who claim to have lost significant weight in a short time. I've lost about 10 lbs in a year, which is not fast but the healthy way. I was about 40 lbs overweight. I've tried phentermine and herbal supplements, and I like this one the best. It doesn't make me feel weird, no headaches. What it does is help me not overeat, but I still very much have to do the work, i.e., self-help, coaching, and exercise. If I could stay more disciplined, I would lose weight much faster. Note: It took a while to find the right dosage and time, etc. I like the 75 mg ER, obviously for convenience versus taking 3 pills a day. I was taking it later in the day because my issues come at nighttime, but honestly, I find I do best taking it in the AM."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been taking this medication for almost a week, and I noticed immediately that the hunger decreased. I find myself hardly hungry, and when I do eat, I notice that I am full a lot quicker. So full to the point of getting sick with another bite. Lunchtime seems the meal where I can eat the most, but still that is hardly anything."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been taking Tenuate for a few days. When I take it in the morning, I start to feel sweaty and shaky about 45 minutes later, but if I eat half a bowl of cereal and put my hair in a ponytail, then I am fine. The rest of the day when I take it, it does curb my appetite, but I still get hungry and I still like the taste of my favorite foods, so I'll continue to eat after I'm full. I hope to see a difference soon. Maybe it's due to my hypoglycemia. I get really shaky anyway if I don't eat on time."

"I've been taking Tenuate for 2 months, and I've lost 13.5 pounds! I don't have any side effects. My doctor told me to go at least one day a week without taking the pill, and I've noticed that on those days when I don't take the pill, I can eat like I used to. I'm kind of worried that when I stop taking the pill, I would gain all my weight back. I've read everyone's posts, and we all kind of have that same effect...you would gain weight back if you stop taking it. My problem is that I really like to snack ALL the time, but with taking this, it really does suppress your appetite. If I eat a little too much, I feel like I could throw up. So, this pill really does work by helping you lose weight and to stop eating all the time. Try it!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I used this drug about 30 years ago. It worked very well. After my baby and divorce, I gained so much weight that I had gastric bypass about 20 years ago. In the last 6 months or so I have found myself 'eating through' the bypass and eating emotionally. When I felt an appetite suppressant could help me get back on track, it was so nice to ask my doctor for an 'old' drug that I was successful with in the past. He was happy to prescribe it. I've experienced no side effects, and it has been easy to catch myself when trying to eat the wrong foods and/or for the wrong reasons. In 4 months, I have lost 50 pounds (primarily on keto - ideal for bypass - including the occasional cheat weekend.)"
