Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic for Otitis Externa "This medication ear drop, Ciprodex, is horrible. My ears weren't as bad before using the drops, both ears are infected, and I can hardly hear. I stopped taking the drops and am sticking to the amoxicillin provided. I don't recommend these drops. My face hurts on the side, my jaw feels tight. So uncomfortable sleeping at night, so I sleep sitting in the upright position. Please just pray that this pain is over with soon. I'm not sure if I should see an ENT. I had this problem before in one ear, but it's in both now. So it's stressful."

Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic for Middle Ear Infections "Ciprodex caused ear and jaw pain. Went to the doctor to have him look in my ears, he said no infection, but there was 'pressure, don't fly in a plane for the next 2 weeks.' Seriously, I threw it in the trash. I am so upset I have to deal with this. The pain woke me up a few times and hurts to eat on the left side. But I can hear again. Never taking this stuff ever again. I hope this pain goes away soon. Sick of dealing with this."

Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic for Middle Ear Infections "I took this medication for 3 days, and my ear pain increased so bad to the point of tears. I had pain from my temple through my jawbone. I had problems chewing because my teeth (bite) were crooked due to the jaw swelling. I read a few reviews stating that it gets worse before it gets better. There is no way this is helping me. I just had to stop taking it and continue my amoxicillin and started using the Similasan ear relief drops (OTC)."

Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic for Otitis Externa "I was having an on-and-off again ear pain for over 3 months. The 1st NP did not give me Ciprodex nor Amoxicillin, and the ear infection got worse. At first, the pain was only at night, but now it's day and night. I went to another NP, and she prescribed Ciprodex and Amoxicillin. The first dose of Ciprodex was unbearable today, and the pain lasted for 2 hours. It did push some wax or infection out of my ear. I have 6 more days to go, so hopefully, I will not have the same pain experience every day."

For Otitis Externa "Took this for a mild swimmer's ear infection. After I started taking drops, I felt ear pain. Then, as I continued, intense pain and swelling in my ear and jaw. By the second day, it felt like someone punched me in the ear and hurt my jaw. Finally stopped and took neomycin drops instead. Pain and swelling subsided. Ear is healing. Worst experience with ear drops ever."

Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic for Otitis Externa "I had an outer ear infection. These drops made my left ear feel clogged up and ringing in my ear and ear pain. I would not recommend this medicine. I'm hoping it is temporary."
