Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic for Middle Ear Infections "Ciprodex was prescribed by my ENT doctor in Portland, Oregon, in January 2008. Immediately after using this drug, I developed serious vertigo issues that resulted in a fall. I also got tinnitus, ringing in the ears, which is especially annoying."

For Otitis Externa "Been taking Ciproxin HC ear drops for 3 days and now have the worst ringing in ears. It started with a muffled left ear on Monday. Saw doctor on Tuesday who prescribed these drugs. Since Tuesday, I have had ringing in both ears, which has caused vertigo, vomiting, nausea. These are also symptoms of ear pressure from a cold, but I’ve never had ear noise like this before. Think I need to stop taking them."

Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic for Middle Ear Infections "A doctor prescribed this for an inner ear infection caused by another medication. I used it twice, and the pain in my ear has increased tremendously, there is swelling and itching, my tongue is swelling, and everything tastes funny. I have also had three episodes of dizziness, and my entire head and face itch. I'm a veteran, was not able to get this through the VA because of a weekend emergency, and don't have any other insurance except Medicare. The cost was $222.90, and another $81.00 for another oral medicine that I could only take one time and had to throw up. Hopefully, my ears will eventually heal themselves without any more help from the doctor because I can't afford being a guinea pig."

Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic for Otitis Externa "The other users here are very dramatic and unfairly giving people a scare from this wonderful ear drop. 1. The tingle I felt was only on the first two applications, and that is due to the ingredient in the drop, acetic acid, and once you take it more than once, your ears become used to this mild ingredient. It will tingle temporarily, then it will quickly become way better as the dexamethasone reduces all inflammation inside the ear canal and drum. 2. The clogged feeling/deafness is literally people not draining drops back out after application. I had no deafness. The negative reviews had me afraid for days to take this drop. I finally gave in due to pain, headaches, dizziness due to ear infection, and by application two at bedtime, I slept great with no symptoms by bedtime. Stop letting other people's bad reviews scare you guys! The majority of the people here are describing symptoms of their ear infection, NOT this med's side effects. This drop greatly helped me, please don’t be misled."
