Benzyl alcohol topical for Cold Sores "Zilactin L works better than Zilactin B in my opinion. It reduces pain and dries it up faster. It also isn't as messy to apply, as it is a clear liquid. Zilactin B is dark brown. I'm not sure where to get Zilactin L anymore."

For Cold Sores "My dentist gave me this for mouth ulcers/canker sores. I had one on my tongue, so I put it on there. Super, super painful for about 20 seconds. Makes the site numb for only about an hour. If you use too much, it will burn you, which I think is what I did. My pain is much worse now."
