For Alcohol Withdrawal "Unbelievable this medicine changed my life, I've been struggling to get sober for the past three years, rehab after rehab, always thinking I can control it this time, or that some how this time will be different, I now celebrate 6 months of total SOBreity, I've seen reviews of people saying that it makes them drink normal and I am way to scared to try that, I've become to involved with AA to want to change my sober date. But who know maybe one day."

For Trigeminal Neuralgia "I got immediate relief from my Trigeminal Neuropathy within an hour of taking this medication. This was after having several Radio frequency ablutions which would only last 4-6 weeks. I was suffering for over 7 years. I had tried Neurontin, Topamax, Lamictal, opiates and more."

For Migraine Prevention "Tension Headache. I had taken 10 mg 3x day for years with no results. In titrating up to 20 mg 4x per day I have had miraculous results in relieving daily tension headaches. No side effects. Highly recommended."

For Muscle Spasm "Baclofen gave me terrible dream/nightmares and I would "walk in my sleep" during them, that is, getting out of my bed and literally trashing my bedroom, knocking everything off the nightstand, flipping over my computer chair, tried to crawl under a TV tray... crazy stuff, that I NEVER did before. As soon as I quit the baclofen (thinking that must be it), those dreams never happened again. PS, since baclofen did this to me, they tried Rx Tizanidine/zanaflex, and I had the SAME reaction from those so I just don't have a muscle relaxer anymore."

For Temporomandibular Joint Disorder "After all the usual drugs did nothing to prevent my migraines, I did a deep dive and found Baclofen, which my neurologist then prescribed. Not only did the intensity and duration of my migraines decrease, but it had great side effects. I hardly ever had to go to the chiropractor (from going once a month), and when I did, barely needed much of an adjustment, and my 25 years of moderate, constant dull pain in my TMJ, got so much better that I rarely notice it and hardly ever need to medicate it. I told this to my neurologist, who has subsequently prescribed baclofen successfully to other patients for TMJ. I take 30 mg in the morning (it doesn't make me drowsy and didn't help me sleep when I took it at night)."

For Muscle Spasm "I'm taking baclofen for extreme tightness in my neck and shoulders, works fine. However is more of a stress relief and sleeping pill, especially if you are already a bit drowsy. I take 10mg currently and I personally don't think its enough because it doesn't do too much. especially at night when I need it to work fastest because my muscles tighten at the end of the day."

For Alcohol Withdrawal "I am a 38 year old woman who has abused alcohol since 2004. I've been taking Baclofen (90mg/day) for one year and it has been a huge game changer in my struggles with alcohol. It has decreased cravings, general anxiety and overall alcohol consumption. I have not upped the dose to hit "the switch" that, for many, results in total indifference to alcohol. Along with my psychiatrist, I am uncomfortable exceeding the FDA recommended dosage by so much. But even so, this drug has really helped improve my life."

For Muscle Spasm "Taking for neck and back pain, and sciatica from being in a MVA. Seems to make my hearing sensitive--when I read to my daughter, it's like my voice is too loud so I have to speak very softly. Absolutely no drowsiness, but I have had a killer headache in the back of my head for days. It has not made any drastic difference in my muscle pain and sciatica, but I have only been on it less than one week. Will keep trying it until my follow up in a week. So far, so good, except for the bad, bad headache in the back of my head. Sleeping good and waking refreshed, unlike when I took Soma."

For Alcohol Withdrawal "I hadvery unpleasant side-effects but persevered because I was desperate to stop drinking. Started on low dose Sept 2014 and built it up till I stopped drinking altogether - effortlessly - 11 Dec 2014. I have not taken Baclofen since then (though strongly advise to reduce dose gradually as withdrawal symptoms extremely unpleasant and dangerous) and have had no desire to drink since - just relief that I am free of this addiction! If this treatment could be recognised and prescribed in the UK it would save much suffering but it is a very powerful drug and should be used with care."

For Alcohol Withdrawal "Fantastic for Xanax Withdrawals. 12 years on Xanax, 4 months trying to come off. Worst 4 months of my life. Baclofen solved it overnight. Blurred vision & dizziness is a small price to pay. 90% of inpatient rehab industry could be replaced my Baclofen."

For Alcohol Withdrawal "Baclofen saved my life. I was drinking 24/7 for ten years, up to four bottles of wine a day. I had tried everything to quit drinking. Then I read 'The end of my addiction' by Dr. Ameisen which started me on the road to sobriety. I had a lot of side effects and had to increase my Baclofen dose very, very slowly, but it worked! I am now totally free of any craving for alcohol. There is a new website with lots of good information at baclofentreatment.com. This was created by an emergency room physician that was treating her patients with Baclofen."

For Migraine Prevention "I have had migraines for 6 years and have tried every medication from, Topamax to Zonegran to Depakote. Since I've started taking baclofen 20mg x 3 times daily, 6 months ago, I have had one breakthrough headache and even then I was able to function. I'm not saying baclofen is the "perfect migraine prevention medicine" but for me, it's been my miracle pill."

For Muscle Spasm "I too suffer from back and leg pain. I have had 3 surgery's pain stimulator implanted as well. The back and leg spasms have gotten so bad starting around 2pm till I wake in the morning. Some nights I'm up all night. Started medicines as directed 1st time. But had some very strange reactions. Like I couldn't breath, almost paralyzed, then hives. So I stopped. But the spasms became so bad, I just couldn't bare to go on anymore this way. I started again taking 1/2 a pill 2 times then 3 times. So far I just itch, I can deal with that. It is helping with spasms, that is the best part of all. And OMG if it also helps with migraines, that would be even better, since I am also being treated for them as well. Life can be unbearable. Thanks for help."

For Trigeminal Neuralgia "I am on 300mg daily oxcarbazepine (Oxtellar 24 hour) with mixed results for my nerve damage/trigeminal neuralgia as a result of a crushed cheekbone in a motorcycle accident where the initial fracture was right down the frontal trigeminal canal. One hour 10minutes ago took 5mg bacoflen and the results are very positive for neuralgia and also (an very importantly) my perpetually swollen left sinus which is very painful). I am going to do 5 mg three times tomorrow and see how it goes - I was supposed to take 10 mg twice a day to start and then 10 mg three times a day but want to be cautious. I expect even better results when I increase my dosage to 10 mg three times a day. I will report again in a couple of weeks."

For Alcohol Withdrawal "My belief is baclofen is finally the cure for alcoholism. My Dr. put me on Baclofen, 40 mg, then upped with 20 mg more if I needed. I drink exactly 16 ozs. of Coors Lite daily, and no desire to drink more. No cravings! As a young man I used LSD for religious awareness. Baclofen has the same effects as LSD as you are "coming on" to it. Mild hallucinations, dryness of mouth, slight irritability, hyper hearing, smelling and thoughts. Also weakness of muscles, and drowsiness. I fight the drowsiness with caffeine. I continue my normal activity regardless of weakness, leading to unusual muscle tone with everyday activity. I am a 62 yr. old man with six-pack abs. THANKS BAC AND MY DR.!!"

For Temporomandibular Joint Disorder "Having chronic and severe TMJ pain, tried amitriptyline, naproxen, diazepam, tramadol, oxycodone and list goes on, at some point was given neurontin which didn't help much by itself so my dr also prescribed me with baclofen 10mg 3x a day. together they work like magic, I still can't eat solid foods but at least the pain isn't bad anymore, feels like part of my life was given back, if you happen to be in the same boat maybe try both (consult your dr first)."

For Chronic Spasticity "I just started taking Baclofen in March of 2014 with almost immediate relief. I had a mini stroke back in 2007 and have been dealing with spasticity in my right leg ever since. I was at the point where my leg was so tight it was hard to walk. Anyway after two days of taking Baclofen 10mg twice per day I feel like a new man. My muscles in my right leg have just completely relaxed after taking Baclofen and it's just an amazing feeling after seven years of tightness in my leg and the last two being just agonizing."

For Alcohol Withdrawal "I read about Baclofen in Dr. Ameisen's book regarding the use of Baclofen for Alcoholics. I am a long recovered alcoholic but have struggled with opiate addiction for 5 years. After an accidental heroin overdose from which I was very near death, having needed IV Narcan because 8 doses of the Narcan Spray did not work, I followed up with my PCP 2 days later. I brought up the fact that I had been clean prior to this short relapse and therefore did not want replacement therapy such as Suboxone, Subutex or Methadone since I had no physical dependency & I told him about the Baclofen and asked if he would consider giving it to me as a last resort. I have been 100% Clean ever since. This needs to be studied further and utilized to save lives!"

For Migraine Prevention "Honestly after reading all these terrible reviews I know I am not crazy. Since starting baclofen 10mg 3x a day I have had tons of panic attacks. My BP has skyrocketed and I get so sick to my stomach I have thrown up. The panic attacks are the worse. It makes my heart race like crazy. I’ll nod off like I’m passing out only to jerk up awake again with my heart pounding. This medication is absolutely terrible. I am stopping it immediately now that I saw on here I am not the only one."

For Muscle Spasm "I was prescribed baclofen after being in the hospital for MS. I have tried many times to get off of this. The withdrawals are not like being an addict more like you have to keep taking it because of the myriad of things you can’t take from stopping or weening off of it. The worst is how you can’t breathe or the pains that develop when you try to stop."
