What can you take for arthritic pain when you have stage 3 kidney disease?

I was taken off NSAID’s because of kidney disease. I have osteoarthritis and osteoporosis and am in pain most of the time. The doctor said take Tylenol which does nothing for my pain. What other options do I have to decrease the amount of inflammation and pain I have?
