I’m referring to Cymbalta. I’ve read reviews that say Lyrica works best on chronic pain and side effects are mild. Nuerontin, gabapentin have horrible side effect on me and don’t care to replicate. I’m on Cymbalta for 5 days now and feeling spacey and lethargic. Chronic pain and failed surgery, what do you, the community have had these experiences and I desperately need help, please

Hi,
Which med are you comparing/referring regarding Neurontin?
It would also be helpful to know what condition (s) you have.
I see you just became a member to our community, welcome, and also tried to find out if you had registered to any support group in order to find out which med ,as I previously mentioned, you are comparing side effects to what med.
Wild guess... condition: Fibromyalgia, med: Lyrica(Pregabalin), please do correct if I am wrong, so we can try to help you.
Hi again,
I will be frank with you regarding Cymbalta (duloxetine-SSNRIs), personally, and thank God, I have never been on it, but I have been a part of this community for 10 years and during this decade I have read more comments from other users that Cymbalta has horrible side effects and it is not so good for chronic pain and in most cases has ruined their people´s lives, now bare in mind that everyone reacts differently to medications and I would lie if I did not let you that for other users it has worked just fine, it basically comes down to how your organism reacts and adjusts to any medication one takes.

I recommend you give it a chance, most likely you, or most people start to feel an improvement by week 3-4 and for you to fully feel the therapeutic effect it may take 6 to 8 weeks according to how you , your system adjusts to the new medication. If you feel, after giving this medication a fair trial you do not feel it is for you, go back to your Dr and find a new med (trial and error) that provides the relief you need, deserve!
