Usually within 2 weeks the body adjusts to the lyrica and if your friend continues to feel out of it, call the Dr. Also another medication that helps nerve pain is gabapentin which is like lyrica; however, with gabapentin the side effects usually go away sooner.
I got so nauseated on the gabapentin... (just me maybe), started lyrica last night, than again this morning 50mg. Feel a little woozey,I will try it for a while and see if it passes, too foggy to drive.
It could go away tomorrow, but I had to stop it after a year and that was one of the reasons.
What drug did you switch to and how is it working for you?
Thanks,
