My cardiologist prescribe me Metoprolol succinate ER 25 mg 1/day. Now my primary doctor issue a prescription for metoprolol succinate ER 25 mg 2/day. As it is a slow release I think there is something wrong and I am going to have an overdose.
Metoprolol succinate ER 25 mg 1/day or 2/day is that right?

I have been taking 1/50 mg of this drug for13 years without any noticeable side effects.
If you have been taking this drug for a long period of time, the 1 a day 25mg and it is doing it's job without serious side effects I personally would stay with it. However, if you stay with the 2 a day prescription, but take only one, your prescription will last twice as long. This is only my personal opionion.
