The smallest they make are very small, round 25mg pills which I have to break in half. I recently ran out but found an unexpired container of metoprolol succinate 25mg that my doctor initially started me with but quickly changed to the lower dosage of metoprolol tartrate. Can I, just for a few days, break the metoprolol succinate 25mg in half until my new script arrives?
I am prescribed metoprolol tartrate 12.5 mg once at bedtime by my cardiologist?

I also only take 12.5, the give me 25 mg and I have to break the oval shape in half. It has score marks on the pill.
