The most common side effects of Lamictal are blurred or double vision; constipation; decreased coordination; diarrhea; dizziness; drowsiness; headache; nausea; painful menstrual periods; runny or stuffy nose; stomach upset or pain; tiredness; trouble sleeping; vomiting; weakness; and weight loss.
Lucky me! I rarely have anything more than minor side effects for a day or two when I first start a medication... and usually none at all.
I've been on 150mg/day for about 6 months and just increased to 200mg/day 3 weeks ago and the only side effect has been a bit of weight loss (2.3kg).
Yes I take Lamictal and get very tired through the day. 150mg
I am on lamictal 100mg, I take at bed time. The doc once upped my dosage to 200mg, and I had a hard time waking up, hard time functioning, it was just a mess. So she lowered it back to 100mg, and I'm back to normal.
I have on lamictal 4 three years (300mg morning) and Im ok with it , in some people it may cause dizziness or drowsiness (less serious side effect) and also weakness with fever (serious side effect). Contact your doc straight away!!!
What dosage are you on and @ what time do you take it? by the way what other meds are you on because of the interactions they cause.
hope this helps
what about weight gain
1 side effect is the loss of weight, need to know what else you are taking
