From what I understand, having come off opiates, which I had taken for chronic pain in ever increasing doses, for several years, I weaned myself down with the help of a hospital and then, when the weaning process was over, they started me on subutex (no waiting period as subutex is only buprenorphine, which is in the opioid pain killer family, with a few differences. It's when the other substance, nalaxone, an opioid agonist, is added to buprenorphine to create suboxone, that a person taking it risks going into withdrawal, if they take opiates at the same time and, more specifically, it was designed to stop the person taking suboxone intra-veinously (addicts,) much like the drug many alcoholics who want to quit drinking take called antabuse, which, if they drink on it, will make them very sick. So - no worry about how long ago you took Roxicodone.
Roxicodone is a short acting opiate with a short half life. I would make sure that you are in withdrawals before you start or you will put yourself into precipitated withdrawals and believe me you don't want that. So I would wait until at least the next day. Make sure you are feeling really shitty and then take 4 or 8mgs. You'll know if it's working within a hour... Good luck...
