... over the course of 2 1/2 days. Anyone have any idea how long I should wait? I don't want to waste them.
Thanks,

Are are You guys getting all of these percs?? I’m in California and unable to find any! I’ve been going through withdrawals and having a hard time. I’ve taking a small portion of an 8mg I believe and wondering when I should be able to take anything?
24 hours is what I do u will have to take a larger dose of percs
I honestly would wait between 3 to 4 days you should be fine.
Im wondering the same thing. I took my first sub 9 hrs ago and was wondering when i could take something else for my back pain.
You guys are ridiculous. You can feel opies like five six hours after taking SUb. Stop looking for answers from docs. Go to blue light and get the truth.
Is this true i did less then or half a strip at the most around 12 hours ago and got hurt at work and got vicodin and want to know it i will feel the affects of them
Yes I agree with the last responses 3 days is insane to wait. Ive done it in less than 24 hours and it was a success. However maybe to be on the safe side wait 24hrs but I've done 4mg of sub and than took a oxy 4 hours later and was great. So I wouldn't wait 3 days or even a week that's way to long to wait.
24 hours from personal experience
Are you joking... 3 days is not necessary... 24-30 hrs and you're good to go...
to keep it real I'm not a doctor but at times i feel like it. I'm far from perfect and to ANSWER your Question there is no right or wrong answer to this. Everyone of us is different last time i checked we dont see life through the same eyes and we dont have the same tolerance. what may work for one person may not work for the rest of us. I've been able to do the 8mg sub's and 6 hours later do a perc 30. "sounds pathetic" I know. Again I'm far from perfect. However it is recommended from some professional point of views to wait at lest 24 hours and others may say 3 days. Since your asking this question there must be a great deal of concern when it comes to the possible side effects. My word of advice is it may be best to wait at lest 24 hours. I'm sure I haven't been the best of help but I do wish you the best of luck on what you choose to do. I know what pain feels like and I know what detox feels like and most times i would rather choose to live with pain then with detox. Y()uRs TRueLy, WHyTe

Facts!!!
I was on suboxone for 6 days. First 3 days I took 3 8mg strips under the tongue (24mg per day), the next 2 days I did 2 8 mg strips (16mg per day) and the last day I did 1 8 mg strip (4mg in the morning and 4mg at 8:45pm). I realized suboxone was not for me. I heard too many horror stories about it after starting it. Exactly 45 hours after my last 4mg dose I took 3 10mg oxycodones and I felt them hit me after 10 minutes. Most people say 3-7 days but I got probably 90% of the effect that I would have had I never taken suboxone. So 45 hours after taking suboxone I had gotten nearly the full effect from the oxycodone. Just saying that was my experience with it.
I switch back and forth between subs and other opiates weekly... the sub will keep u safe from withdrawal for a good 2 full days... but u can get high the next day after subs. It wont be a waste, trust me. Just take 2 percs and a few cups of coffee... u will feel no pain and your house will be very clean lol. Ive been struggling with all this for 10 yrs, Im not a doc, just my thoughts and experience.
i just took 2 mgs of sub but haven't had any in a week. just got a few perks and wondering if i should wait till tomorrow?
thanks dear
Lillipurp, I think it may build up in your system and it may take 3 days, but if you wait 2 days and start with just a half a perc every 4 hours, you should be safe and as the subs finish wearing off, the percs will start working. Just be careful and don't get too much in your system at once, you still actually can OD. This would be with a moderate to large amount of opiate, but it could happen.
Thanks for that pattishan!

its all not true..ive taken a sub at 9 am n then taken 3 30mg roxys 12 hours later.. and was fine... its up 2 the amount u take n so many diff things..3days is way to long to wait...
Suboxone is able to "build up" in your system because of its extremely long half-life. It takes an average of ~24-48 hrs (compared to ~3-4 hrs for oxycodone) for the suboxone dose to lose half its strength, though this time can vary from person to person. Please disregard any posts that encourage you to ingest any additional opiates within a 24 hr. period. This could be very reckless, especially if you are just now re-introducing the oxycodone. Any opiate can decrease your respiratory drive, and opiates potentiate the action of other opiates, which subsequently lead to a very untimely death.
I agree with the last comment for example I took suboxone for 2 days and went to percs having had a half of suboxone just 7 hours prior and felt the percs just fine. It really just depends on how much and how long when it comes to suboxone or methadone for that matter.
Agree completely with ya, j. Pattishan
To all that want to know - I was looking for the answer myself to the same question - I took a 1/4 of an 8ml this morning at 745am - I did an 8ml D - about 530 felt it a little but I have a high tolerance- I just did another one at 700pm and felt it good - so the true answer is 11 - 12 hours no sooner than that though you will be wasting it but the answers of 3 days is bull - you would wind up being done with detox by then if you are the type of person who gets physical withdrawals from perc's - I know I don't - it doesn't affect me at all - if you listen to other people and believe that your going to be sick you will - I'm talking about through The pharmacy mess - think about all the old people who get those scrips - they don't withdraw- H is totally different - prepare for 3 days of hell you might as well put a pillow and blanket in the bathroom - just sharing my truth - everyone is different and the mind is very powerful. But 12 hours is the answer not three days!!!
well lilypurp sounds like you got yourself in a shitty situation!!LOL We've all been there besure you have toilet paper.God bless, Carol
It actually helped me out since I had gone the other way due to the side effects of long term use of opiates! LOL>
Hi Lillypurp. Please be careful with the perc's. I know you must be feeling miserable about this but you really do need to wait. Try to get involved in something, anything, to get your mind off the misery. I know it sounds impossible, but give it a try anyway. Crossword puzzle, books, anything to make the clock go faster. Hang in there and flush the subs.
Best wishes,
chris
Why did this doctor prescribe subs and perc's?
The doctor made me "try" suboxone - he runs a sub clinic - before he would put me back on the percocet. I was like, whatever. I did what I had to do to get back on my regular meds. I told him I didn't want to be on suboxone - brought my hubby with me to validate all of the reasons why we both felt I didn't need to be on it, besides that it didn't really kill my pain and that I was basically topping out switching to suboxone b/c to me I felt I had no where to go next when/if I ever decide to get off the perc's (for withdrawal) - depends if the pain ever goes away. Hope that makes sense! Anyway, he put me back on perc 10's and wants me on cymbalta. Making me take cymbalta now with the perc's. Always making deals with me inorder to get the pain meds. Seems sort of weird.
He thinks I am depressed and we think the problem is Fibromyalgia and Cymbalta is prescribed for pain related to that, but it is greatly interfering with my sex life - which was hardly in existence in the first place b/c of trouble with pain, but now there is no point to have sex because the cymbalta blocks the ability to orgasm. There is always the intimacy part of sex, which is good and I like making my husband happy, but it sure is darn frustrating! Anyone have any suggestions about what to do about all that??? :)
Thanks,
Lillypurp
I just called the suboxone help line for you. The answer is generally 3 days. I told her how much suboxone you had taken over the past 2 1/2 days, so I believe she is accurate. Did you just take the subs for withdrawal. Or do you plan to use them to get off the percs? If this is the case don't use the subs that way. You have no idea how you are messing with your brain. The sub # is 877-782-6966. M-F 9:00 to 6:45 EST. Also for additional information go to www.naabt.org, its the home base for buprenorphine.
Thank you for that extra info pampgh i thought it was around 3 days or a week ive personally never tried the suboxone but i have tried the methadone and it seemed forever till i could feel my norco again.
Thank you so much pampgh! That was so nice of you to do for me. Wow, I am blown away. So kind of you. I took the subs so I could not take the percs for a few days so they would work better. I'm guessing I should never do that again, is that correct? I am going to save the remaining 4 subs that I have left for when I decide (or the dr. decides) to get off the perc's. I have a lot of percocet, so I'm not worried about running out before my next dr. visit. I really just don't want to take them if I'm not going to feel pain relief. I guess I screwed myself. I should've just taken a day off and felt like crap and would've been right back on track the next day. Well, lesson learned. Guess it will be a crappy couple of days. I can get through it - but I couldn't do a week in withdrawal. Been there, done that. Will never do it again the way I did it before. It was so horrible. Anyway, thanks to all of you for your responses. I genuinely appreciate your time.
Sincerely,
Lillypurp
