I was prescribed 1mg for my nocturnal panic attacks and insomnia. I took one at 11:00pm MST. It’s now 6:44am and I haven’t slept. Can I take another one or do I just have to suffer until tomorrow night?
Can I take another clonazepam?

Hi, Tymc!
The maximum daily dosage for clonazepam is 4mg and it been about 8 hours since your last dose.
If you're having a panic attack or feel you're on the verge of one you'll probably be okay to take that extra dose.
As Fawn said, you really shouldn't change your dosage without your doctor's knowledge so you might try to reach your doc or the doctor covering for emergencies. Be sure your doctor knows that you're having problems.
Best regards and I hope you're feeling better quickly.

PS, it might make you drowsy so be careful of physical activities like driving, etc.
Thank you. My anxiety is horrible right now and keeping myself from not panicking has been difficult. I’m definitely going to talk to my doctor about this.
Try some deep breathing - in through your nose and hold for to the count of four and then exhale through your mouth like a whistle.
Do the countdown. Count 5 things you can see, 4 things that you hear, 3 things you smell, etc.
Things like this will help keep your mind off the anxiety.
If you can, take a walk, listen to some soothing music, even try to stay awake during a long boring movie. Meditation and/or yoga is good too.
Good luck!
I take 3 mgs Clonazepam at night. It is meant to get you to sleep, but not necessarily keep you from waking, or staying asleep. Although some have it work for a full night's sleep, I do not get a full night's sleep at my 3 mg dose. I have found that psychiatric meds work differently for everyone. Ask your Dr. if they think if going up 1mg would help. Don't ever increase a med on your own, especially a benzodiazepine.Good luck to you. Insomnia is difficult to treat. Nothing works the same for everyone.
Thank you!
No problem!
