Is anyone here also experiencing an Adderall generic IR shortage as of February 2019?

In North & South Carolina there is a major shortage of generic Adderall. My doctor said it's caused by a " turf war" between competing generic manufacturers.
I'm almost out of Teva generic. Maybe Adderall is available.

Yes, a shortage, in Atlanta. I cannot find and I have been to four pharmacies. I have to physically drive to the pharmacy, as they do not allow to disclose over the phone. Still no TEVA peach color 30 mg, since August 10, 2019.

Went to 17 pharmacies in southeastern VA today and all at completely out!

I have to drive to 4 -5 pharmacies to get my prescription filled! And you can’t call ahead to ask if they have it they tell you their not allowed to tell you!
I have narcalepsy and my daughter has Down’s syndrome & type 1 insulin dependent diabetes, I’m her caretaker I need to be alert!
This is a disgrace!
I’ll spend the whole day searching for adderall!

On August 22nd in West Hollywood, California, I was told that the 30mg strength of Adderall was on backorder with no published delivery date. I was also told that many other pharmacies throughout Los Angeles had been calling to borrow the medication because they were out. I have no idea how to get my medication. It is important because I am an adult with severe ADHD and without the medication, my work and quality of life are negatively affected. I am unable to take Ritalin or Concerta due to side effects and they also trigger Panic Attacks. After some research,I found that a major manufacturer of Adderall discontinued producing the product. I believe that only Malenkroft (sp?) and Teva Pharmaceuticals are the only two manufacturers left that produce Adderall. Any suggestions on what I can do? My doctor has not returned my call yet and I have 5 pills left (~2 day supply).

My pharmacy in Orlando is reporting a shortage since August 9, 2019.

All pharmacies in Wilmington DE are saying D-AMPHETAMINE SALT COMBO 30MG are back ordered with no delivery date.

Have there been any updates? I went to 7 places today in Northern California and 6 were completely out.

I'll find out today, but this isn't the first time. Each year this seems to happen. Then you'll get a different brand. The orange you speak of ones are the best. I don't like the pink instant releases, or the yellow xr's that look like gabapentin. But yes, this happens often enough.

Yes I live in GA and was getting 30mg 2x a day and for the past 2 months can't find them, even 20mg are low in supply. Finally requested 120 pills of the 10mg only problem my insurance will only fill 90. This is crazy

Central Fl west coast, in the same boat as most of you. For those of us who DEPEND not rely on adderall going w/o is like turning off your power. It's terrifying. My Dr prescribed Provigil(narcolepsy med)temporarily and is more tolerable for me versus Vyvan and other meds in adhd classes. It's not IR adderall but is better than other options. I delt w this back in 2011 and have since always tucked away my 2 days & any extra I have every 28 days & rotate my saved w my newest refill every 3 months. This saved me for almost 3 months & gave me & my Dr time to try alternatives. Just a suggestion for the future as Im sure this will happen again and we already have to much anxiety and stress. Hopefully this is helpful for some of you.

Any update on this? Had a huge issue last month and am due to be filled in a week and am getting anxious ill have to call 19210 pharmacies again -__-

I have narcolepsy , last month I was shorted part of my fill . I get 120 30mg a month . Today , they still have not got in . They called to find me some at a local Walgreens , unfortunately it was Teva and I had a bad experience with Teva and the effectiveness last August and changed to malicote mfct. Yet there is none available from any manufacturers . I am scared and don't know what to do if this continues next month . I literally need this to be able get out if bed . BTW I am in Bristol , TN .

My prescription for generic Adderall was due to be refilled on March 6 and I was told by CVS (Brookfield, CT) that they were back-ordered for another week. When I inquired today, March 17, they informed me that they are back-ordered until JULY. Now I have to go back to my doctor and get a new prescription for a different drug - maybe Vyvanse which I didn't do as well on OR they said that if there is availability at a different chain of drugstores, I would still have to get a new prescription from my doctor which will most likely not be covered by my insurance. I can't believe this is happening...
