I take it for back pain. I know it’s commonly prescribed for migraines/pain/antidepressant. You should definitely give it ago. It may make you feel really tired, but many others have found it really helps with pain and migraines and I agree. I am only on 20mg a night. They don’t usually prescribe it for depression in the UK anymore due to the high dose and the way it makes you feel in the morning.
Give it ago. I use it for pain and it’s literally saved my life. Literally…
Good luck
Thank you for the reply. I got given 10mg to take 1 in the morning and 1 at night but I spoken to NHS lady and she told me not to take in the morning as it would make me sleepy . I'm at the point now I so afraid to try New meds because of the side effects I've had off others ... But thank you for Ur comment I just need reassurance before trying
Id definitely take it as one dose at night time as it does make me tired. Glad I could help. I think amitriptyline is a miracle drug, its really helped me. I dont think you will get any side effects other than being tired on 10mg.
Take care!
