I’ve been taking both together for many years. amitriptyline was originally ordered for Migraine prevention. Later I develop depression from a stroke and was started on lexapro. My depression had an anxiety component. The combination of the 2 drugs are very effective for me. I’ve had the same MD proscribed for over 15 years ad an evaluated every 6 months for and problems
I have been taking Lexapro and amitriptyline together for years. The amitriptyline was added for a different issue for me as well. I have done very well using both of these medications at the same time.
Hi don’t know if I have an answer, but I’ve added amitriptyline to Zoloft. I lowered Zoloft to 10 mg from 30 mg. Now I am on amitriptyline 6.25 mg and am increasing it. But my gastroenterologist added the amitriptyline for another Med condition. Panic had gone up since decreasing Zoloft. Zoloft is really great for panic. Idk if amitriptyline is bc im on such a small dose.
