"Mixed feelings, it greatly improved my skin and didn't make me gain weight which was great. However it did not help my bleeding, by the 4th month I had my period for 16 days. In addition, it made me feel anxious and not myself (as someone who doesn’t suffer from anxiety or depression this was incredibly unusual). I noticed within the 2nd week of getting off of it my sex drive increased."

"I only used Mili for just about two months and I gained over 20 pounds, I had just switched from Sprintec that helped me lose over 100 pounds the year prior. The mood swings and aches are terrible, if you are thinking about trying this I suggest anything else. Cheap though."

"I started taking the Mili contraceptive pill on a Sunday, and the next day I had the WORSE migraine ever. I have had a migraine for the last 4 days and it will not go away. This medicine gave me TERRIBLE MOOD SWINGS and severe aches in my neck and shoulder area. I had to be prescribed migraine medication. I am currently waiting to be transferred to a different birth control. DO NOT TAKE!"

"I had been on tri-sprintec for years for acne that was OUTRAGEOUS! Never wanted to go out, etc. Recently switched to this so I could have consistent pills (not fluctuations like most) and go without a period for 3 months. Welp, I've been fatigued, extremely hungry, more irritable & sad than normal, weight fluctuations, waking up super weight down there & spotting/light bleeding!!! First month was fine but I got annoyed when I had to start wearing panty liners & it was enough to mess up my shorts. BC works great for some & terrible for others... I'm going back to my OBGYN next week"

"This is the worst experience I've ever had with a birth control, or any medicine for that matter. I've been on it for two weeks and it's making me miserable. I haven't eaten in 3 days because the nausea is so severe. Cold water is the only thing I can even think about keeping down. I've become very depressed and am much more anxious than I was before. I've had these problems in the past, but they were well controlled and this medicine has set me back. I've stopped taking the pills and cannot wait for it to fully leave my body."

"Absolutely terrible. I started taking Mili to try to manage pain from endometriosis. The first 4 days were just fine, but on day 5 I woke up with such extreme pelvic pain I thought I would need to go to the ER. I continued taking the Mili and woke up every day for another 4 days with pain so extreme I wasn’t even able to get out of bed for 2 of those days and was very, very restricted for the other two days. I stopped talking it and within a day or two, I started feeling better. It was truly heartbreaking as this was the first birth control I’ve tried and now I’m terrified to try anything else."

"My 17 year old daughter was switched from Sprintec to Mili by pharmacist who said Sprintec is no longer available, but assured us Mili is the same thing just a different manufacturer. She broke out in cystic acne all over her face and chin. It is horrible - worst acne I have ever seen. Took her dermatologist, who threw oral antibiotic and cream at it. Just saw these reviews... yah, appointment with Doctor tomorrow. No more Mili. Oh my goodness, if I could post a before Mili and after Mili picture of my beautiful daughter - no one would ever take this medicine. My poor baby girl. This drug should be taken off the market immediately!"

"This birth control is terrible. I was switched from Sprintec after taking it for 6 years and I’ve been on Milli for 3 months and I’m miserable. Random cramping throughout the month, irregular periods, bloating like crazy, and breaking out like crazy!! I haven’t had acne for about 4 years and now I’m breaking out bad. I do not recommend this birth control at all. I will be calling my doctor immediately."

"I had the same experience as a lot of people in these reviews, I was switched to Mili from Sprintec after my pharmacy was out of my Sprintec. My pharmacist assured me it was the same exact thing and same ingredients. It does not feel like that at all. This drug is probably the worst thing I have put in my body. It made my depression 100 times worse, I have had cramps for the past two weeks, and I keep having periods of nausea and feeling fatigued. I feel like a completely different person. This makes me never want to take the pill again."

"I was so relieved to see I'm not the only one having major issues with this birth control. Like many, I was on Sprintec and was unexpectedly switched to Mili by my pharmacy. They say it's the same, but I seriously doubt it. I haven't had acne in years, and suddenly I have it again. My mood has always been stable on any other birth control, and now I have horrific mood swings. Literally woke up one day and could not get myself out of bed because I was so depressed. I was terrified of how low I felt. I never felt anything like that before. I have some depression and anxiety, but never like this. The following day, my mood was normal but I had terrible cramps and heavy bleeding that went on for over a week. I'm on my second pack, finishing it out, and calling it quits. I only needed a couple months' worth while my husband fully healed after his vasectomy. Thank God. I'm sure this works for some, but after seeing others with similar experiences, I think there is something off with Mili."

"I read some reviews prior to taking Mili and against my better judgment took them because I needed them and I regret it! I agree with many of the reviews here, unfortunately. For starters, prior to taking my skin recently cleared from hormonal acne, and this completely reversed that- new breakouts seem to form almost daily. Ugh! I have been spotting since taking these and it's been almost 2 months. I thought if I stuck it out, it'd stop- but no! It's been almost 2 weeks since stopping them and I'm still spotting! I'm not a sweet eater at all but now I crave sweets day and night- like waking up and snacking at 2 am. Please try another brand/ form!! This just ain't it, hopefully, this nightmare is over soon."

"I was originally on Sprintec for almost a year when I was abruptly switched to Estarylla by my pharmacy for a month and then to Mili which I have been taking for the past 3 months or so. I was worried that these switches would cause me to have bad side effects since I had nausea and breast pain when I first started Sprintec, however I couldn't even tell that I had switched medications. I have occasionally spotted mostly right before or after my placebo week but that happened on my other birth control pills as well. I haven't attempted to skip a period because of the spotting, but overall I have no complaints about Mili and the transition between birth control pills was not bad at all."

"I had been taking Sprintec for 4 months and on month 5 was given Mili by my pharmacy since they are technically the same. I am now on week 3 of my pack and my stomach has never looked so big! In the morning before I even have a bite of food, my stomach is so tender and bloated and I definitely think it's because of Mili. I do not think it has changed my mood at all which is great.. but I can't seem to wear anything but sweatpants which is a huge problem"

"I was switched from Sprintec to Mili and just realized today the Mili is causing the many issues I've been experiencing over the last couple months. I never thought to look at the reviews. I am almost finished with my third pack. Irregular bleeding and spotting, then having a large breakthrough period when it wasn't the right time to have one. Random nausea and fullness. I haven't had acne since I was a teenager and have been experiencing awful skin the last couple months. Mood swings, easily tearful (very abnormal for me). I feel exhausted most of the time and experience headaches regularly. I've never written a medication review, but all of these things have happened since starting Mili and have gotten worse, not better, since continuing to take it."

"I thought I was crazy until I read all these other reviews of switching from Sprintec to Mili. My GYN and pharmacist both assured me they were the same, however there is NO way that this is the case. I am severely bloated that it is physically painful and I was beginning to think I was somehow pregnant despite no recent sexual activity. It looks and feels like I am 3 months along. Add on the horrible depression and spotting and you have a miserable trifecta. DO NOT TAKE ESPECIALLY IF SWITCHING FROM SPRINTEC."

"The first night I took this birth control I threw up, but my body was just adjusting and that was expected. The more you eat with it, the better you will feel, for me that's how it was at least. I became a bit more emotional in the couple weeks after I started it, but that went down with time. Overall, I think it's about as good as birth control can be."

"I've been taking the Mili for almost a month now. I've not had much adverse effects from this pill. 2nd and 3rd week developed breast tenderness, also accompanied by regular cramping. No emotional changes. I am thinking it is my body adjusting to the cycle of these pills. I am hoping next 2 months my body will adjust to these or I will switch out for something different."

"I was on Sprintec for 5 years until this shortage, so my pharmacist switched me to Mili 2 months ago. If anything, my side effects from Sprintec have gone down. I haven't experienced any of the side effects listed other than more bloating than usual. My food cravings went away (used to have terrible ones on Sprintec), so that's a plus."

"I’ve been on this pill for bout 1 year, for the ones who don’t like it just make sure should really give it time to adjust to your body, but everyone is different tho so I understand. When I switched over to the shot that was worse than the pill so I recently just got back on the pill after the shot and my period came back. I LOST bout 9 pounds my first time getting the shot so never again! I’m one of the rare ones usually people gain weight on depo & I never got my period. Now that I’m back on the shot, whenever I do get my period it’s always light!! No matter what I don’t have to wear pads anymore just a panty linear and I’ll only bleed for about 4 days. It did affect my mood swings though I never used to be this emotionally but it isn’t that bad, I recommend it."

"I’ve only been using mili for about a month but my period is much longer than normal. I’m not sure if it’s from the switch to this brand or stress. I never had this problem on my other birth control but other than that have had no problems."

"I have been taking Mili for almost a month now. I have had no severe side effects. The only thing I’ve had is I’ve been spotting since I started. However, this is my first time every using birth control. Spotting is normal when you’re getting used to birth control. Other than that, there has been no changes to my daily life what so ever. I would recommend Mili."

I'm on my 3rd month and my periods have finally gone back to normal.I took Low Loesterin Fe and I lost my periods (I need reassurance) then the generic of the same and still no period and mood swings. Finally on this one “back to having my periods” still painful ones and very heavy "

"I have been on this pill for a year and 3 months. At first, I just had some spotting and some tender breasts, but my PMDD was better. I didn’t have as many mood swings, however my period is about the same. I have one day of heavy bleeding and cramps, so bad that pain medicine can’t help. I also get bloated. Before Mili I had mood swings all the time and I had one bad day of cramps and heavy bleeding. The bloating is about the same. What makes me want to go off the pill is my weight. I went from 115 pounds to 130 pounds. I don’t like how I feel. I am going to talk to my doctor about getting off of it."

"I couldn't figure out why I was randomly getting acne and when I say acne I am talking about cystic breakouts everyday on my chin and jawline. I changed my diet, my water intake, my vitamins, spent hundreds on face wash only to find out it was this birth control. I was originally prescribed Sprintec which was perfect for me no symptoms then the pharmacy switched me to Mili 3 months ago. DO NOT get on this pill or let your pharmacy change the brand. If you are having random symptoms after starting this pill take action and GET OFF THIS PILL"

"I have gained 50 pounds after the Sprintec shortage. When I was on Sprintec it was amazing and shortly after switching to Milli my life went downhill. I finally decided to stop taking it all at once to hopefully become myself again"
