"I started taking this a week ago (for the most obvious of reasons to take birth control) and I am writing this from my couch still sick from it. I have NEVER had a bad experience with medicine like this. I have been nauseated, dizzy, my head hurts, and I'm throwing up. The side effects have lessened slightly, but the first night I was sick about every 20-30 minutes literally all night. I would not recommend this at all to anyone ever."

"I made an account just to comment on how incredibly bad this birth control is. I was on Estarylla for a while, but then switched to Mili. Ever since taking it, I have had the absolute WORST depressive & anxiety attacks to the point where I think I’m going insane. It was never like this taking Estarylla, but my experience with that other brand was bad too. My periods have gotten heavier and more painful since taking this brand. My acne was cleared with Estarylla, but Mili has given me more acne. This birth control has pretty much made me miserable."

"I’ve been on birth control trip for 8 years now. I most recently got switched to the Mili tablet about 2-3 years ago. It has helped with my periods through out time tremendously! I used to have very painful periods with heavy bleeding for 7 days. The Mili tablet has slowly made my period shorter and I don’t bleed barely as much anymore. I take it in 2 month spans so I only have a period every 2 months. It took about 6-8 months for my body to get used to this new pill but the wait is worth it."

"I took Sprintec for about 3 or 4 years now but, my pharmacy ran out and dispensed me Milli. I can honestly say I'm miserable. As I lay here and write this, I have an awful headache. I usually don't get them. I have constantly been bloated since taking this pill. I'm just getting to the end of my first pack. I have had an upset stomach and gas frequently. My mood has been all over the place and I have no motivation to do anything. My hormones are all over the place. This is the worst pill ever!"

"I started Milli so I could just skip my periods, everything was fine with the first pack but once I started my second pack it started a spotting, heavier and heavier into a full blown period that hadn't stopped and it has been about to be 2 weeks. I have felt depressed and have gotten painful breakouts on my face and I don't have acne. I also feel nauseous and bloated most of the time. I'm going to give it till the end of the month and then I think I will stop because I'd rather have a period then go through this"

"Overall, I’m happy with this Mili birth control pill. I switched from Junel fe after seeing my doctor for pelvic pain. My doctor put me on Mili continuously due to a suspected hormone imbalance. And she was right. The first three week transition was rough; acne, tender breasts anxiety, nausea, irritability, but it actually cleared up on my second pack. I feel great now and have little to no cramping. I only had breakthrough bleeding once during the switch (since I’m skipping placebos). I plan to keep using it as long as nothing crazy pops up. Only thing I can note is that I’m more emotional from time to time, but I think that’s the ebb and flow of the month anyway. I do have headaches a little more often, but nothing severe."

"I recently was told I was to start taking Mili as my pharmacy, CVS, no longer carries Sprintec. I am 3 weeks into my first BC pack of Mili and I have never felt more awful. I have had a headache and have been extremely nauseous the past 4 days. My anxiety is through the roof and my breasts feel like they have gone up a whole cup size. When I was on Sprintec I never had any of these issues. I really never would have expected this when switching from one combination pill to another."

"DO NOT TAKE .... I was perfectly normal before I started taking this, it was supposed to regulate my period, did the exact opposite and made my period worse. I started having migraines , chest pain and been in and out of the ER for a few months now because of it. I’d rather not take birth control at all .."

"I started taking Mili after my pharmacy said they had ran out of my usual Sprintec. Let me tell you...irregular periods, hormonal outrages, acne, bloating, irregular periods, inability to sleep. I couldn't finish the final pack because I was miserable. The pharmacist claimed this was the same pill, but it's absolutely not. I ended up having to call my doctor, the pharmacy, and the insurance company to make sure that from now on, I get Sprintec every month, even if it means special ordering it. I will never ever use Mili again."

"Hi I'm just coming on here because before I started birth control I was very nervous because of all the bad reviews. I think people usually only review it when it’s negative because they think of it, but I only had side effects for 3 days. The first day my stomach felt off, and then it got better by the 3rd day and I have not had any side effects since then. I just finished my first pack and so far so good!"

"This birth control is absolutely atrocious!! I started taking it about 2 months ago and I have never felt worse. My nipples are so sensitive and hurt so bad. I have such terrible gas and I am so bloated. I get incredibly nauseous and even throw up sometimes. I was on Larissa before this and I have never gotten worse side effects. I have no motivation to do anything, my mood swings are off the roof. Do not recommend this at all!!"

"I’m one of the many women whose life was upended when Mononessa was discontinued in the US. Sprintec, Estarylla and Mili have all failed as substitutes. I’m guessing there are new-generation additives in birth control pills (BCP’s) that are straight-up toxic. But Mili was the worst. Took it for two days and experienced unbearable nausea, stomach pain and bloating. I got off it, malaise persisted an extra day along with ovarian pain. A huge disappointment because there are no other options available in the generic Ortho Cyclen formulation."

"I was taking Sprintec for years but 4 months ago I got switch to Milli. Boy oh boy. The first few months were bad but this last month.. oh my gosh. I’ve been bleeding for 15 days ( regular period usually last for 3-4 days) I’ve had 6 anxiety attacks within the past week, hot flashes, cold sweats, no appetites, lack of motivation. Literally I feel like awful. I’m stopping it this month. I’m not even being dramatic when I tell you this pill is a nightmare. It may work for some but this pill is literally so bad for me."

"Honestly it's awful. I was unable to get Sprintec which I've been on for 13 years and I ended up getting Mili and was told it was same. It is NOT! I want to cry all the time, I have to force myself to eat because I have no appetite and my stomach doesn't feel happy. I've always had anxiety but this has brought it up a whole level. I'm also breaking out like crazy...I'm trying to resolve my prescription because if I don't take my pills I get cysts so I'm in a lose/lose situation...this is a terrible pill."

"Was switched to Mili from Sprintec with no warning. Have been on it a month and I’ve been experiencing stomach issues and horrible acne on my chin. I’ve never had acne in my life and this acne is painful. I am calling my doctor to be switched back immediately to switch back. Do not take this birth control!"

"I have been on Mili for about 2 months. I am working on getting switched to a different birth control because of how over emotional Mili made me. No, It didn't make me nauseous or throw up but it did give me headaches every now and then. Every few hours I would get very sad out of nowhere and cry so hard for about 1-2 hours. Sometimes I would even start crying out of nowhere and then start laughing. The littlest things would set my emotions over the top. I would be on the phone and I would get told I love you and I would start balling my eyes out. Same thing with if I got told that person was going to bed. The first time it happened I cried my eyes out for 2 hours harder than I've ever cried before. I would cry over anything and everything and most of the time, nothing. It would also make me bitchier than usual. I do not recommend this birth control at all. It made me way too over emotional"

"This was awful birth control. I just stopped taking it and am starting to feel back to my old self and I have only been taking it for a week. Within three days of starting it, I started feeling very nervous and detached like I wasn't a part of my surroundings. I felt very zoned out. Almost "emotion-less" is the best way I can describe. I also experienced heart palpitations and shortness of breath. My gyno said these side effects that I'm experiencing are not what is in the "literature" for this medication. I asked if there was another pill we could try and she said they would all give me the same reaction and suggested I go for an IUD or the copper implant. I'd rather not have something implanted in me that I can't just quickly stop or take out should I experience severe side effects again. I'm sure they get a good commission on the IUD's so that may be why she was pushing for it."

"I’m back with my review of MILI . 1st month taking MILI after using LORYNA for more than 3 years. I had no bad side effects at all after taking it at night time around 10:30pm. I only noticed a 1 to 2 pounds gained but is not a huge deal cuz I’m super skinny and it’s hard for me to gain weight so that’s a +. At the end of the month I just notice that my headaches are decreasing a bit after using MILI compared to LORYNA another +. I’ll continue using MILI cuz it’s been more beneficial for me."

"I've been on Spintec for about 4 years, never had one issue or side affect. CVS gave me Milli instead, assured me it was the exact same as Sprintec. The first day I took it I vomited until there was nothing left in my stomach and then some. The next few days I went through the worst nausea I've experienced in my life. 24/7 feeling like I could throw up at any moment. On day 4 of Milli I almost went to the hospital with severe abdominal pain, I couldn't move or breathe. This was the worst pain I've ever experienced & I have a high pain tolerance. Who knows what would have happened if I kept taking this pill.. When I called CVS to tell them about my reaction they argued with me and said there is no reason at all this pill should affect me like this. She said it is the EXACT same as Sprintec, she almost made me second guess myself making me feel absurd. But I know my body and a couple days after not taking it I am perfectly fine. Please, please, beware of this product."

"Personally , I LOVE Mili birth control for my acne. I had terrible acne & tried everything to get rid of it. I was on this BC for 2 months & my acne cleared so much to the point where I literally had none. My pharmacy recently switched me to Estarylla & I’m only the second week in & I have experienced depression & SEVERE anxiety that comes along with constant panic attacks. I will not be continuing it."

"Mili was the first birth control I had ever tried at age 27. I tried it for 3 months but felt like my anxiety which I can control without medication was only getting worse. I was extremely emotional and couldn’t concentrate on daily task. I’m in grad school and work as a nurse full time. I felt like this medication was not helping my mental well-being. I felt depressed, anxious, and irritable all the time. I was considering anti anxiety medications just to help with the side effects. Needless to say I called my doctor to change my prescription."

"Terrible. Didn’t help with cramps, I had heavier periods and zero sex drive. The worst is the anxiety and anger associated with it. My fiancé and I just split up over these pills due to my mood swings and upset. I wouldn’t take them ever again. Too many reviews say the same thing...the pills are the common denominator!"

"I have been on Ortho Tri Mili since 14, I have NEVER had issues now at 20 my dr decided to give me Sprintec as the "generic" for mili, and I have not had a single side effect with either. It 100% depends on the person taking it. It will not work the same for everyone."

"I'm on my second week of taking Mili, I started taking the pill the first Monday after my period as directed by my doctor. So far mood is fine, no abnormal bleeding, no headaches or nausea. I am experiencing breast tenderness. I use to experience anxiety, but after taking the pill the anxiety is less. I have mild acne, but it is too early in the month to see if it's getting better. It all depends on the person, so I guess you will have to experience Mili for yourself. These reviews were helpful for me, because everyone's experiences were different, and so was mine."

"I was on Sprintec for 3-4 years when all of a sudden the pharmacy would call to say my script is ready for pick up and name something I never heard of, so I ignored it. I went 2 months without birth control then I started this new pill on a Sunday. I'm on month 3 of taking Mili. I cry for days, anxiety at its worst, I'm constantly bloated to the point that a 7 month pregnant coworker and I were comparing hardness of our bellies, always thirsty, and this acne on my chin is so damn bad I want to dig my skin off. All of these things I assumed was just regular woman things and my chin I blamed on the mask, but I've been wearing a mask for 2 years and this is recent. This pill is the worst. I accidentally found this thread while trying to search to see why I couldn't get the Sprintec anymore. Never did I imagine that so many others have been experiencing the exact same things from this pill. It's the worst. I am rating a 3 because, well, it prevents pregnancy..."
