"My experience with Mili has been overall a 10/10. Most people who are reviewing have been on a different birth control before using Mili and that's what the issue is. Mili gave me 0 side effects, I'm the same weight, I still don't get acne. The great thing is it really benefited my cramps and PMS. I love it."

"I'm on my second week of taking Mili. I started taking the pill the first Monday after my period, as directed by my doctor. So far, mood is fine, no abnormal bleeding, no headaches or nausea. I am experiencing breast tenderness. I used to experience anxiety, but after taking the pill, the anxiety is less. I have mild acne, but it is too early in the month to see if it's getting better. It all depends on the person, so I guess you will have to experience Mili for yourself. These reviews were helpful for me because everyone's experiences were different, and so was mine."

"Terrible. Didn’t help with cramps, I had heavier periods and zero sex drive. The worst is the anxiety and anger associated with it. My fiancé and I just split up over these pills due to my mood swings and upset. I wouldn’t take them ever again. Too many reviews say the same thing...the pills are the common denominator!"

"It’s clear based on the reviews this birth control works for some and not for others. This birth control really messed me up. Threw my gastrointestinal tract out of whack, and I gained a little weight as well. Mood swings are abundant, and I’ve felt depressed and lethargic. Cannot wait to stop taking this birth control! I’d rather deal with my heavy periods than this medicine changing who I am and making me constipated all the time."

"I have been on Ortho Tri Mili since 14. I have NEVER had issues. Now at 20, my doctor decided to give me Sprintec as the 'generic' for Mili, and I have not had a single side effect with either. It 100% depends on the person taking it. It will not work the same for everyone."

"I decided to start taking birth control for the first time and decided on Mili. I was really nervous after seeing all of the negative reviews, but I decided to give it a try for myself. I haven’t had any issues with it, so if you’re nervous to take it, just try it and decide for yourself if it’s right for you. I’ve now been on it for almost two months and only experienced nausea for the first week and a half. I haven’t had any weight gain, thankfully. I have been able to still lose weight on it, as I’ve been in a calorie deficit and working out. My period on the inactive week was definitely different than usual, it was a bit lighter and not as painful as it was in the past but still lasted about a week. I personally haven’t had any issues with mood changes either. I can’t comment on any long-term changes since I’ve only been on it for a short amount of time, but so far it’s been good."

"This is the worst. I was on Sprintec and switched to this from CVS. Within two weeks, I had extreme motion sickness and could cry at any moment. I called CVS, and they were able to special order me Sprintec. Thank goodness!"

"My pharmacy had run out of Sprintec (which I had been taking for 8 months - with no issues), so my doctor prescribed me Mili, because it “has the same formula as Sprintec.” I came here to read some of the reviews and saw how it destroyed so many lives and caused severe side effects. Although I warned my doctor about the side effects, I still took it anyway, hoping I could muscle through the pain and wait for my body to get used to it. I took Mili for two days, and it caused me severe nausea and fatigue. I took it on a full stomach (as recommended), and it still gave me these symptoms. I had never felt so weak in my life, I could not bathe myself by the second day. I’m switching pharmacies and going back to Sprintec, I cannot function while on this bc."

"This was horrible. I was skeptical to start taking it because all the bad reviews but remained hopeful. I took it for 3 weeks. Week one and two weren’t terrible. Some slight nausea. But by the third week, I was so nauseous I was throwing up every morning. I stopped taking it because it’s not worth that!"

"I’ve been on Mili for about a year now, and I’ve experienced no side effects. I haven’t gained any weight from the pills, and my period starts on the same day of every month, which is extremely helpful. And in regards to preventing pregnancy, it’s worked perfectly for me."

"OMG, I am so glad I found these reviews. A light bulb went off, and now I know what is causing my daughter to have horrible anxiety, depression, zero appetite, panic attacks, fatigue, and zero motivation to do anything but sleep. My daughter is 19 years old and attends college. Four months ago, we decided she should try to get on a BC pill that will help with her heavy periods and terrible cramps. The first month of taking the BC, she was on Lo Loestrin, commonly known as LO LO. She had some breakthrough bleeding as a side effect, nothing major. The second month, when she received her next round, she was given Mili brand BC without any notice of the switch. I can't tell you enough how horrible these last few months have been. My daughter deals with anxiety and depression and has been treated for it with medication and had it controlled. The last few months since taking Mili, her anxiety has spun out of control along with her confidence. She feels nauseous every time she eats. DON'T TAKE!"

"I'm almost finished with my second pill pack of the Mili contraceptive pill. So far, my period was heavier than normal and longer, but since it was the first one, I'm gonna give it time to regulate. My mood swings are terrible, and I'm overly emotional about everything. I'm not gaining weight, and I've noticed fewer breakouts."

"I switched from Sprintec to Mili birth control pill. Sprintec made me feel like I was going crazy and made me super emotional and was the worst. I feel an improvement in my mental health since switching from Sprintec to Mili for sure though. My periods are lighter, I do get headaches, slight mood swings, and I have gained a little bit of weight since starting. My acne has cleared up almost entirely though."

"Love, love, loved Mili. It was the first birth control I ever took. I was on it for three years, then my body got adjusted to it, and it stopped working, so I had to switch (this is not the medication's fault, it's a genetic thing). If I could go back on Mili, I absolutely would. I started taking it for bad periods and horrible month-long cramps, and it fixed them completely. I can't comment on weight loss/gain or bra size changes because I was still going through puberty when I started this, so any weight difference or change in bra size could've been because I was in peak puberty. I also had clear skin almost my entire time on Mili, even though I was a teenager, and I never struggled with anxiety or depression while on Mili until right before I went off it, but that was for personal reasons, not because of the birth control. Overall, I loved this birth control, and I never would've gone off it if I didn't have to. 100 percent recommend."

"I was recommended Mili by my doc. I have to say, for the first few days, the pill made me a little nauseous and sleepy. I pulled through and continued to take them. It has been great so far (after 3 months) because the pills have cleared up my hormonal acne. I did switch the timing of the pills to before bed due to the pills making me sleepy. But it all depends on the person, everyone is different. They work for me so far, I love them!"

"I've been on Sprintec for 3 years now, and they switched me about a month ago, and I've had stomach ache and throwing up almost every day. This pill needs to stop production. I thought I had stomach problems, but it's this dumb pill. I will never in my life switch pills again. Sprintec was the best. I'm on my second month, and finally, I'm switching back. Never do Mili."

"Started feeling the side effects the same day I started these!!! I get extremely nauseous when I go to bed and when I wake up, to the point where I want to throw up! And I can’t stop sleeping! This is from someone that never experiences side effects, Mononessa and Estrayla are so much better. I feel this is changing me!! I can’t stop sleeping, and I feel sick!"

"Absolutely horrible. Do not take this!!!!! Severe migraines, extremely nauseous, and horrible mood swings. I have tried many different types of birth control (brand name and generic), and I have never experienced side effects like on this Mili birth control pill."

"I personally started taking Mili as my first type of birth control pill, and I absolutely love it! I didn’t get any wicked side effects, and it’s made my period easier to manage because it’s lightened the flow! I’m sorry that not everyone has had a similar experience, but I personally really love this pill!"

"I genuinely really like Mili. It’s prevented pregnancy, I’ve had clear skin, my period isn’t as bad, and my mood genuinely improved. Definitely recommend. Keep in mind switching from another birth control is always difficult."

"I like taking Mili, it helps me a lot. Plus, I have no problem gaining weight. Also, it clears my face. I have had mood swings, but that's about it. Other than that, no other side effects. I just started taking this last month, at the beginning of January 2022. So far, I'm enjoying taking them. I hope it stays that way, I'm willing to gain pounds, that doesn't bother me."

"I embarked on my journey with Milli birth control in December 2022, starting on the first day of my menstrual cycle. However, the initial experience left me apprehensive as I encountered prolonged bleeding for about 15 days. Concerned, I decided to discontinue the pill, opting to give it another shot a few months later. In June 2023, I decided to restart Milli, this time initiating it on the first Sunday after the conclusion of my last period. Since then, Milli has been a game-changer. Notably, my skin has significantly cleared up. Though I occasionally feel sensitive during placebo weeks, it's unclear if it's linked to the pill or personal life events. Nausea was a brief issue in the first week, but I've had no complications since. No weight gain or heavy periods have occurred, and I feel more regulated overall. Despite initial hesitation, I'm glad I gave Milli another chance. It's a reminder that everyone's experience with birth control is unique."

"This stuff is terrible. My pharmacy keeps switching me back and forth between Mili and Estarylla and Mononessa, and every time I take Mili, I break out into horrible acne, my anxiety escalates significantly, and I have crazy mood swings. Worst birth control I’ve ever taken! This stuff should be discontinued."

"I started taking Mili because my pharmacy stopped carrying Sprintec. I haven’t had any side effects, and I always know exactly the day I’ll start and stop bleeding. Everyone reacts differently, of course, but don’t let the number of negative reviews keep you from at least trying it to see if it works for you, especially if you deal with hormonal acne. That’s why I take it specifically, and it’s worked phenomenally."

"I was on Sprintec for 3-4 years when all of a sudden the pharmacy would call to say my script is ready for pick up and name something I never heard of, so I ignored it. I went 2 months without birth control, then I started this new pill on a Sunday. I'm on month 3 of taking Mili. I cry for days, anxiety at its worst, I'm constantly bloated to the point that a 7-month pregnant coworker and I were comparing hardness of our bellies, always thirsty, and this acne on my chin is so damn bad I want to dig my skin off. All of these things I assumed were just regular woman things, and my chin I blamed on the mask, but I've been wearing a mask for 2 years and this is recent. This pill is the worst. I accidentally found this thread while trying to search to see why I couldn't get the Sprintec anymore. Never did I imagine that so many others have been experiencing the exact same things from this pill. It's the worst. I am rating a 3 because, well, it prevents pregnancy..."
