Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: The first month was great! It really helped with my PMS mood swings, which were awful!
HAd a short period with regular bad cramps but was elated that it helped my depressive mood swings, which is why I started taking it. Now I'm in my 2nd month, on my 2nd week and am bleeding and bloated! Feeling more bloated than usual too.
Have been bleeding for four days now. Am hoping it will stop and even out because the aiding of my former mood swings is wonderful!
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: I loved this pill at first, it got rid if my terrible cramps. A few months after, however, I had two periods each month. Now I have a period every other week. The birth control pill is a hit-or-miss type of business.

Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: I love this pill, I never get my period and every month experience very little cramping. However, the company offer a rebate and the customer service never calls back nor do I get my rebate.
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone): This is the first birth control I have ever been on, and I absolutely love it. My reason for taking it isn't actually for birth control, but for severe cramps and irregular periods. Before I was on this pill, my cramps would be so bad that I could hardly walk sometimes! I missed so much school because of how intense my pain was. I've been on the pill now for almost 7 months, and it has helped tremendously. I have not had ANY cramps at all. My period was also very irregular before I started the pill, and since I've started taking this, I do not even have a period! The only complaint I have was the mild nausea and headache during the first month of taking it, which is normal when starting birth control, but it was still a nuisance.
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: Lo Loestrin = Acne cysts! I have always had clear skin [with the occasional break out, but nothing serious] and since switching to this pill about 12 months ago, I've had a never ending cycle of painful and ugly red blemishes. My dermatologist assessed my skin and after two minutes with me determined that I had Lo Loestrin skin. She said it is absolutely the worst for skin because of its significantly lower estrogen levels. Anyway, I just wanted to share this knowledge. I'm switching back to Yasmin.

Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: Before I tried this pill I tried so many others and the experiences were bad. This is the only pill that I feel like myself on! It probably is because this is the lowest dose pill available. Why put extra hormones in your body if you can prevent pregnancy and lighten periods with the minimal amount of hormones? I really like it! I've recommended it to several friends and they are liking it too!

Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: I switched to this birth control from Yaz because my periods (although controlled) were still 7-8 days long and heavy. When I switched to this pill I gained about 8 lbs, was intensely moody, and noticed my hair and skin became extremely oily. I was on it for 4 months and it only got worse. I had breakthrough bleeding the entire time. The second month I was on it I bled for 2 weeks straight. It was absolutely miserable. I know birth control affects every person differently, but this was AWFUL for me.
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: I have been on this pill for about a year and a half now... At first, my periods were heavy and irregular but now I am down to a regular cycle of one really light period every month (lasting about 2-3 days max). Before I started the pill, I had problems with acne and now I have virtually none at all. No weight gain. The only negative side effects that I've experienced are some weird mood swings every now and then. But for me, this pill is everything I could have hoped for, just wish it were a little cheaper.
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: first off, let me start by saying that I am sensitive to hormones. I cant seem to find one that doesnt make me sick, or extremely moody. I was put on this for Endometriosis pain, and the first day I took it, ate with it and was fine. The second ay I took it, I also ate with it, about 8pm, I went to bed at midnight and woke up at 4 am sick to my stomach, shaking and my heart racing, just like I have before with another pill and was vomiting for about 2 hours. I am now, 2 days later, bleeding and my period wasnt suppose to be here until 2 weeks from now !!! . It doesnt feel like a period, but its not fun either. Wouldnt reccomend for anyone who is hormone sensitive,.
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: Ugh. I am really disappointed because I had high hopes for this pill. My doctor told me my periods would be short (around 2 days), and light. Well, my periods did shorten to 2 days; however, I got 3 periods a month. Also, my face erupted with terrrrrrrible cystic acne. Worse than it has ever been in my entire life. I will say that this pill caused virtually no mood swings, which is a HUGE plus compared to previous pills I have tried. I really, truly tried to stick this pill out. I even considered going on accutane to clear up breakouts. But then I realized that the mood swings I gave up with lo loestrin would probably just return due to accutane. My body did not do well adapting to this pill. I've been on this pill 4 months too long :(
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: I have been on this medication since August when I had to get my Mirena IUD removed. I had never been on the pill before this so I was nervous about its effectiveness, but it has been wonderful so far! I have had no weight gain, no acne, no crazy mood swings... I have had my period regularly when I was supposed to on the white/brown pills. Last month I didn't get my period for the first two white pills and got very worried, but I had a very light period on the two brown pill days. I have slight breast tenderness sometimes, but nothing major. It is great that it is such a low dose of estrogen, which significantly lowers the risk of blood clots.I would highly recommend this medication to anyone looking for a great birth control.

Review by Its an okay birthcontrol (taken for 1 to 6 months):
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: I have been using Lo Loestrin Fe for 1 month now and I've had my period three times this month, breaking out like crazy, and have so many mood swings with depression. On my period i have medium-high cramps, back pains, and my breasts are sore. All the time! I haven't really gained any weight which is good, but I'm going to keep using it and see if it gets better.
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: Ive been taking Lo Loestrin for 5 months now my body has not adjusted to this dumb pill I've had 2weeks periods one week without bleeding than I start again I'm feeling depressed all I wanna do is cry. I haven't had sex with My husband because the bleeding and all we've been doing is fighting. I hate this pill I'm done taking this damn pill it's no good.
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: i started taking lo 5 days ago I have experiences mood swings not severe but just basically feeling weird. My body is just not right. I bled lightly first 2 days of my period and now I am bleeding heavy for 3 days with bad cramping and back aches. I feel like I am craving junk food and I definitely gained a couple pounds within these few days as crazy as it sounds. Hopefully my body will adjust bc I plan on staying on these
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: I am 23 years old and I have been on this bc pill for about 4 months. I truly hate it! I have had my period twice every month. During the white pills and not the brown ones. I'll have horrible cramps before my period and while on it. Before I was on this bc pill, my breast would get tender and after my period was over my breast would go back to normal, but not on this pill. My breast are constantly in pain and it is horrible pain. I rarely ever got acne, now I have acne all the time. I'll also get horrible lower back pain. I recently visited my OBGYN and she has agreed that this pill has been a nightmare. I do NOT recommend this pill!!
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: So far I've been on Lo loestrin for about 2 months. Pros: No mood swings, no weight gain, convenient to use, no pregnancy, no nauseousness, low estrogen. Cons: Period every other week (which sucks but at least it is not a constant period. Hopefully by my fourth month my periods will be back to normal), breast tenderness every day (but not too painful) and occasional headache. I am very satisfied overall and plan to be on this pill for the next 2 years. It's great knowing the risk of a blood clot is so much lower with such a minimul amount of estrogen.
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: Took lo loestrin fe for 2 weeks, and immediately had to discontinue. Started with spotting during the second week, developed anxiety attacks and unnecessary fears, back pain, lo libido. After I stopped, it took a week for me to return to being functional. It's been about 6 weeks since I have stopped the pill and haven't gotten a period, and every few weeks symptoms of anxiety and unnecessary fears come back.
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: Well i have been on this medication for about 5 months so far i been loving it periods have decrease so is cramping . I did gain weight with this medication (5lbs) which is not bad for me because i was way too skinny , no mood swings no acne. the only thing i do have to say is that this medication is expensive but worth it
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: I would say I've had an overall good experience. I just took my last pill from my first pack. It was a little rocky at first. I did experience some unusal heavy bleeding that lasted about 10 days mid-way through the pack. But it has calmed down. I've had no mood swings or emotional/mental side effects. My weight is pretty much the same and I didn't get sick or have headaches. I'm just going to monitor the bleeding on my next pack of pill. I also have to see if my insurance will cover it. I got my first three pack from my obgyn as samples to see if I like it. I'm going to continue using it and I'll update you guys in 28 days lol. I hope this helped someone.
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: I was origininally on Loestrin 24 Fe for almost three years, I then switched to this because loestrin 24 Fe switched brands I guess? So I figured I'd try something new. I'm 19 and have now been on lo loestrin for almost 2 months, I have noticed a major breakout of acne in my chin area. I never breakout so it was very unusual for that to occur, I as well noticed a weight gain of abuout 5-6 pounds just in these two months. I am pretty active and eat well and normally can't gain weight, so I am still not happy about that. I have also noticed having intense headaches, I'm not sure if its from the birth control, but i've never had them like this before. The pill does decrease any cramping or nausea I had previously. Probably going to switch back
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: Loestrin Fe did a lot better than the 'Lo Loestrin Fe'. I only got this prescription because my insurance covers it and it's similar to what I was taking before-just less hormones. (They apparently discontinued the birth control I used to take). Since I've been on this one, I've been a little moodier, more acne, breast tenderness and cramping without periods. I've lost weight and my cup/bra size actually got smaller. Honestly, it's starting to freak me out a bit because I haven't been this tender with a birth control, only while pregnant with my two children. I take it as it's prescribed-same time, every day, never skipping a dose. Hitting my 3rd month on it, no periods or spotting at all.

Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: I had surgery a little over a year ago because I had a 6cm cyst on my ovary. Two months later, more cysts started to develop so I went on Lo Loestrin to stop the pain and help my periods. (They were extremely heavy with bad cramping, had to change my super plus tampon every hour) Now, after being on it for 6 months, I've only had spotting as my period. At first, no side effects but now I'm noticing a little weight gain, nothing traumatic. I definitely love this pill and recommend it to everyone!

Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: I started this birth control three weeks ago and now I have the worst acne I've had since being a teenager. I'm breaking out with hormonal acne that no matter what just don't want to go away. I know you are supposed to wait for 3 months for your hormones to level out but I don't know how much more of this I can take. I haven't had any other major side effects...a little nausea but that's about it.
Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: I love this pill. I didn't give it a 10 because nothing is perfect but I was on Loestrin Fe 24 and I would get my period for like a day and I kept track with my period planner. I would get cramps and my breast would get very tender and my mood would change as well as my appetite. This medicine is expensive without insurance. Then my doctor recommended I switch to Lo Loestrin Fe. I was a bit skeptical because I didn't want to end up having more periods. Turns out that when I switched I only had a period for 5 days straight in June 2013 and now we are in October and I haven't had any cramps or a period for that matter. I do have a lot of discharge which is a side effect, no mood swings or anything like that.

Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) for Birth Control: I am 19 yrs old and I was experiencing a hormone imbalance so my doctor decided to try and balance my hormones out and gave me Lo Loestrin Fe, which is the birth control with the lowest amount of estrogen on the market. I was to test it out for 3 months and I am on my second month. It's actually pretty great. I experienced no side effects and so far its going great.
