Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I just want to say thank you to all those who took time to write positive things about Yaz. I did a lot of research before taking the pill and frankly, it scared me. So many complaints and horror stories. The most important things to remember is that we all react to substances/hormones in different ways.
I'm 35 and haven't taken the pill since I was 20. I am on my 4th pack of Yaz and am very pleased. I had a little spotting in the first two months and stomach discomfort, especially when I forget a pill. Aside from that, I've lost weight and stay slim even when not active, my breasts have gone up a full size which I love. My sex drive is fine, if not greater, no change in moods. Good luck to all.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Acne: I have been taking Yaz for about two months now. I stopped taking birth control about two years ago and started to break out with acne horribly. I was on the patch and gained about fifteen pounds. I lost all of that weight and now am 117lbs again. I was worried that I would gain weight after losing it so my dermatologist told me to use Yaz. Yaz has been wonderful. I have not broken out severely, maybe one or two on my chin. It is completely fabulous for acne and for birth control.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Acne: I'm 31 years old. Had mild acne for years. Tried many OTC kits and prescription topicals. Nautropathic to Allopathic. I am a very healthy vegetarian, eat whole foods diet. Nothing helped. Most breakouts were under my chin or around my jaw. I was against the idea of taking a BCP for acne. I hated the idea of putting something artificial into my body. I am so happy that I gave in. My face was totally clear within 2 weeks. No negative side effects. have finished 2 packs. Mild nausea and headaches the first week.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder: I started taking Yaz 6 months ago for Premenstrual tension syndrome. I think my PMS would last 2 weeks, lots of bloating, lots of acne and lots of moodiness and crying.
Yaz has been life-changing for me. No more PMS, very little breakouts. No more gaining/losing 10lbs every month. I have lost 20lbs to date just because I don't have weird cravings, my energy level is back to normal and I am 5lbs from ideal BMI. I feel GREAT! I love Yaz and am so thankful my doctor.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Acne: I am thankful to Yaz. Within a few days it cleared up my skin just as I hoped, but I did not expect it to work so fast. My chest has gotten a lot bigger but other than that I have not gained any weight. I seem to have lost my appetite as well; which makes it easier to make healthier food choices. Also, I seem to have more mood swings and am a little more depressed.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I'm 32 and never took any birth control pills. I was on the fence taking Yaz due to negative responses. I love this birth control and glad I took it. I only experienced light bleeding during the 1st month of taking pill. When I finished the 1st pack the bleeding stopped. I noticed I was emotional when I took the first placebo pill but when I took the 2nd I was back to normal. My doctor put me on the pill due to irregular periods and when they came on they would be extremely heavy. I missed work some days due to this. Well when I got my period with taking Yaz it came on when taking the placebo pills and was light, NO CRAMPS, very short. My skin looks great, I wake up happy as can be, no emotional issues, sex drive up.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder: I took this for a few months and decided to stop. Several mornings I woke up to a severely swollen face that lasted for several hours. I also experienced headaches and swollen hands. It also did NOT improve my PMS symptoms.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I've been taking Yaz for 3 months now and I absolutely love it. I've lost weight, without trying, and my periods have greatly decreased in heaviness and severity. I have not experienced any of the bad side effects like depression or tiredness, I wake up happy and ready to go. The only difference I've noticed that is not so great is that the first day of taking the placebo pill I tend to be emotional, but that usually clears up by the second day. Also, if I miss a pill I usually have stomach pain until I take it, which is actually a nice reminder to take it. I love Yaz though and cannot say enough good things about it.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder: I was on Loestrin 24 for 3 months, and noticed a lot more moodiness and irritability, so they put me on Yaz, and immediately I felt better. I have much more energy. I feel better, no bloating, and I'm just generally happy. Much more like I was before I began birth control. I love it.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I have been taking Yaz for 1 month. My doctor asked me to try it for a couple more so my body can get use to it, but I would rather just stop right now. I'm tired all the time, depressed, no sex drive. I had horrible cramps, worse than when I was in high school, and bad migraines the week prior to my period. I cry at the drop of a hat and I'm really anxious. I do not like it, but I will give it one more month. We'll see.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Acne: Of course my acne got much worse before it got better, just as my doctor said it would. So a few months into taking Yaz, my skin started to clear and now it just glows. I couldn't be happier. Though I do get a small pimple here or there on occasion but NOTHING compared to what I had before. I highly recommend it and your patience will pay off.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I love yaz, it has it's downs like the tiredness and sometimes the bad headaches, but overall it's been a great birth control for me. I was on another one about two years ago, and nearly killed myself while on it because of the hormones. Me Yaz=Love.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Acne: I have been taking YAZ for 8 months now and am very pleased with the results. I have not gained any weight, my acne cleared up completely, and my periods are shorter and lighter. The first three months I did experience side effects; migranes, tiredness, breakthrough bleeding just the first month; but other than that, it was fine. I attribute those first three months to my body getting used to the hormones. At first I was hesistant to try this birth control because of the horror stories I have read online, but I decided to try it anyway, and I am so happy that I did, because it has been wonderful for me. I suggest anyone debating on trying it out, to not be discouraged by the reviews, because everybodys body is different.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder: I've been on Yaz for almost two years now and I wouldn't change it for anything. It was my first birth control and I love it. I take it at night at a set time and it doesn't cause any side effects such as nausea. I reccomend Yaz to everyone. It really does work!

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I'm just finishing my 1st pack of Yaz and couldn't be happier. A few years ago I tried the shot, only once. It took a full year for my period to get back to normal. About a year ago I tried a generic birth control pill. It was an effective form of birth control, which was the major reason I used it for, but similar to the shot I had almost no libido, was very emotional and had bad acne. My fiance kept bringing up Yaz. I decided to give it a shot since he put up with me so long. I've been happy, acne is going away, no bad side effects and libido is up. The only way to make it better is if it was cheaper. My insurance only takes off $10, so $50/month for BCP is the only downfall.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder: I've been taking Yaz for two years for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), combined with a low dose of Prozac. It has been a great combination for me. I used to have extreme mood swings about a week before my period, even to the point of getting myself in trouble at work. Now, I hardly feel my period coming on and it's smooth sailing all month.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder: I developed premenstrual dysphoric disorder after having my first child and it was unbearable. 2 weeks out of every month I would be terribly swollen and bloated, hungry, craving weird things, suffered from insomnia, had headaches and felt tired, and just really sick in general. I was also totally crazy and my moods would go up and down really dramatically. I just finished my first pack of YAZ and it has been AMAZING. Within the first month ALL of my symptoms have gone away and I feel great. I have even lost some weight. I had a slight headache and nausea the first 2 or 3 days I was on the pill but other than that nothing at all. I was afraid to take it because of all the negative reviews, but everyone is different. Worked great for me and has changed my life.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I would rate this above 10 if I could. This is the best birth control I have ever taken. I suffer from PMDD and my time of the month without yaz I feel like I could hurt people for no reason at all, just because I didn't like the way they looked at me or what ever. Anyways Yaz has helped that out so much. My husband is so happy with the results. I have had no weight gain, no cramping and only 3 day periods with very little bleeding and the best part is no irritability or major mood swings.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: BEST BIRTH CONTROL EVER. Curbs my appetite so much. I went off Yaz for 2 months and actually gained weight and was hungry 24/7. I have no negative side effects at all, and I never feel hungry. I have so much energy and my mood is more stable. Yaz is perfect for me.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I think Yaz is a good birth control pill overall. My doctor switched me to this pill b/c it is one of the lowest doses out there- I needed to go back on bc pills because I suffered from hot flushes as soon as I went off the pill. It took two weeks on Yaz to stop the hot flushes (I'm only 42, by the way) and I feel so much better. I do agree, however, that it does make me a little tired and I do have some headaches (during the period week)- but nothing like the monster headaches I got on some other brands. All in all-a good product. I will be on it as long as my doctor allows me to- hopefully to 50.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Acne: I have tried everything from Proactive to Skin I.D to Murad and nothing has worked for my acne until I got on YAZ. However, don't be discouraged because it does take a couple weeks to months for your body to adjust to the hormones and essentially your skin may worsen. I was on the pill for about a year and literally never had to worry about a breakout. I got off for about 8 months and just started back on it a week ago because my skin started to get really bad again. My face is the worst I've ever seen it right now but I know sticking with it will be worth it. It is so hard dealing with acne and there are nights when I just cry to my mom because I don't even want to show my face in public. But trust me YAZ is worth the wait so stick it out.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Acne: I have been on Yaz for a year and it has been a good pill for me. I originally started taking it becuase of acne, I really used to think that my skin was a hopeless case and I never even wanted to leave the house. It took about 2 months to see any real improvements in my skin but after the third month I completely stopped breaking out, and now I can't even remember the last time I had a pimple or a breakout when I used to break out every single day and I'm talking bad acne all over my face. This pill has been wonderful in curing my acne, but the only complaint I have is that it caused me to gain weight quickly 130 to 145 (in 4 months) and now my thighs and hips are covered in stretch marks. My advice is to workout regularly and eat right.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder: I have been on Yaz for a month and I feel like a different person. I lost 7lbs of water weight in two weeks, friends and family have noticed how much better I look. I went on Yaz because of severe PMS, which included serious bloating and abdominal heaviness, constipation, depression, fatigue and irritability to the point where I had been hardly able to leave the house the week before my period. I have energy again now. I'm not feeling terrible half of every month. The only side effect for me has been a thicker, heavier white discharge.
I would recommend this to anyone with bad PMS. I love Yaz.

Yaz (drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol) for Birth Control: I enjoyed being on Yaz very much. I had to switch to a different pill because it's not covered under my insurance. The only side effects I really ever noticed were an increased sex drive, increase in breast size, decrease in appetite, mild reoccurring yeast infections (I've tested positive for track/yeast infections a few times but with little to no pain).
Overall, I was extremely happy with Yaz and I'm upset that I have to start a different pill.
