Uddergold DryThis treatment applies to the following species:
Teat protection sealant for dry cows (0.1% Triclosan)
This product provides a physical barrier that aids in the prevention of mastitis in dry cows.
For Dry Cows
UDDERgold® Dry Teat Sealant is a safe and easy-to-use dry cow teat sealant that is based on years of research. It uses patented technology to safely and effectively sanitize, seal and protect dry cows’ teats in your program to prevent dry cow mastitis. It is the only product that combines the quick, safe and effective sanitation power of alcohol with the long lasting protection of the antimicrobial triclosan.
Directions For Use: Use in a well-ventilated area. Do not pour unused product back into the original container. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Apply with a disposable 3 oz. paper cup.
At Dry Off: At last milking prior to dry off, milk out cow completely. Infuse dry cow antibiotic into clean, dry teat, according to label instructions. Dip the entire length of the teat in UDDERgold® Dry Teat Sealant. For maximum protection, a second application may be applied after the first coating is dry.
10 Days Prior to Calving: Clean teat thoroughly and wipe with dry towel. Dip entire length of teat into UDDERgold® Dry Teat Sealant. Dip should remain on teat for 3-7 days. Observe daily and re-dip if the sealant is removed prior to calving. At calving, peel off any remaining sealant prior to milking.
WARNING: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. CAN CAUSE EYE DAMAGE. HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED. DO NOT GET IN EYES OR ON CLOTHING. AVOID CONTAMINATION OF FOOD.
FIRST AID-EYES: In case of contact with eyes, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Call a physician.
INTERNAL-DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY. If swallowed, induce vomiting and call a physician immediately.
FLAMMABLE. Keep away from fire, sparks and heated surfaces.
