Sodium Iodide Solution 20% Indications

As an aid in the treatment of actinomycosis and actinobacillosis (lumpy jaw, wooden tongue and necrotic stomatitis) in cattle and as an expectorant in lung conditions for cattle, horses and sheep.

Warning

Milk from lactating animals shall not to be used for food for 72 hours (6 milkings) after last treatment.

Directions

For actinomycosis or actinobacillosis in cattle, administer intravenously 15 ml per 45 kg body weight. Repeat in a week if necessary. As an expectorant in cattle and horses 10 ml to 40 ml: sheep 5 ml to 10 ml. Sodium Iodide is contra-indicated in hyperthyroidism, advanced pregnancy and acute metallic poisoning.
