Shin-Band
This treatment applies to the following species:Active Ingredient(s): Active ingredients include gum benzoin, camphor, Barbadoes aloes, rosin, Churchill's iodine. Other ingredients include gum myrrh, storax, methyl salicylate and isopropyl alcohol.
Shin-Band Indications
This product combines analgesic and antiseptic properties. It is recommended in the prevention and treatment of leg ailments in the horse. It helps to promote improved circulation in the hoof.
Dosage and Administration
For prevention of leg ailments, apply a small amount directly to each leg after workout or vigorous exercise. SHIN-BAND can be applied with a toothbrush dipped into the bottle, or pour into a small container and use a narrow paint brush. Brush should have soft bristles.After applying, wrap horse's legs in normal fashion.
For the treatment of specific leg ailments, such as splints, big knee swelling, sore tendons or soft muscles, apply directly to affected area with a soft brush. Apply stable wrap in normal fashion.
For hoof related problems, paint a small amount of the product onto coronet band or apply directly to bottom of hoof with a soft brush.
