This treatment applies to the following species:ENCEPHALOMYELITIS - RHINOPNEUMONITIS - INFLUENZA - WEST NILE VIRUS VACCINE, EASTERN & WESTERN, KILLED VIRUS, KILLED FLAVIVIRUS CHIMERA, TETANUS TOXOID
A combination of inactivated, concentrated, adjuvanted, tissue culture origin equine encephalomyelitis viruses (Eastern and Western), equine herpesviruses types 1 and 4 (EHV-1 and EHV-4), equine influenza virus type H3N8 strains EIV A/eq/Florida/RW/13, EIV A/Equine 2/Kentucky/02 American, EIV A/eq/Richmond/1/07, West Nile virus - flavivirus chimera and tetanus toxoid.
Prestige 5 + WNV Indications
This product has been shown effective for the vaccination of healthy horses 6 months of age or older against Eastern and Western encephalomyelitis viruses, EIV, EHV-1, EHV-4, tetanus, and West Nile Virus. Duration of immunity has been shown to be at least 6 months for EIV. Duration of immunity for Eastern and Western Encephalomyelitis Viruses, EHV-1, EHV-4, tetanus and West Nile Virus has not been established. This product has been shown effective against virus shedding of EIV, EHV-1 and EHV-4, and encephalitis and viremia caused by West Nile Virus.
DOSE: For primary vaccination aseptically administer 1 mL intramuscularly, repeat with a single dose in 3 - 4 weeks. Historically, annual revaccination with this product has been recommended. The need for this booster has not been established. The presence of maternal antibody is known to interfere with the development of active immunity in foals and additional boosters will be required in most young animals. For more information on revaccination frequency, consult your veterinarian.
CAUTIONS: Store at 2°-8°C (35°-46°F). Shake well before using. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not mix with other products. This product has not been tested in pregnant animals. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Inject deep into the muscle only. Local reactions may occur at the injection sites in vaccinates, and most of these reactions resolve in 3 to 7 days following vaccination. Systemic reactions may also occur in animals following vaccination. If allergic reaction occurs, treat with epinephrine. Care should be used to avoid injecting your own fingers, hands, or other body parts. Accidental injection can cause serious local reactions. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.

PRESERVATIVE: Thimerosal.
