ENCEPHALOMYELITIS VACCINE, EASTERN & WESTERN, KILLED VIRUS, TETANUS TOXOID

A formaldehyde inactivated, adjuvanted polyvalent equine vaccine-toxoid consisting of equine encephalomyelitis viruses (Eastern and Western) and tetanus toxoid.

Prestige 3 Indications

This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy horses 6 months of age or older against Eastern and Western encephalomyelitis viruses and tetanus. Duration of Immunity has not been established. For more information regarding safety and efficacy data, go to productdata.aphis.usda.gov.

DOSE: For primary vaccination aseptically administer 1 mL intramuscularly, repeat with a single dose in 3 - 4 weeks. Historically, annual revaccination with this product has been recommended. The need for this booster has not been established. For more information on revaccination frequency consult your veterinarian.

CAUTIONS: Store at 2°-8°C (35°-46°F). Shake well before using. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not mix with other products. This product has not been tested in pregnant animals. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Local reaction may occur if this product is given subcutaneously. Inject deep into the muscle only. Anaphylactic reactions may occur. If allergic reaction occurs, treat with epinephrine. Care should be used to avoid injecting your own fingers, hands, or other body parts. Accidental injection can cause serious local reactions. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.

ANTIBIOTIC: Gentamicin.

PRESERVATIVES: Thimerosal and Formaldehyde.
