FEEDING AND MANAGEMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Feed the recommended dosage of Nu-Image ClariFly® to each horse separately to insure proper dosing. Top-dress Nu-Image ClariFly® on grain or mix with horse’s ration. For picky eaters, mix this product with a highly palatable feed for best consumption. When used as directed, Nu-Image ClariFly® will provide sufficient diflubenzuron to prevent the development of fly larvae in the manure of treated horses. Existing adult flies will not be affected. Start feeding Nu-Image ClariFly® early in the spring before flies begin to appear and continue feeding throughout the summer and into the fall until cold weather restricts fly activity.
Use Nu-Image ClariFly® as part of an integrated fly control management program aimed at reducing fly populations. Supplemental fly control may also be needed, as house and stable flies can breed and develop in decaying vegetable matter, feed or silage that is present on the property. Good sanitation practices, such as cleaning up spilled feed and preventing manure build-up around barns and fences or under feed bunks, will eliminate additional breeding sites for these flies.
Use Nu-Image ClariFly® as a part of an integrated pest management program targeted to reduce the total fly population in the horse’s environment. Use this product simultaneously with other premise and on-animal fly control products as well as following good facility management and sanitation practices.
FEEDING DIRECTIONS FOR EQUINE (HORSES)
Top-dress Nu-Image ClariFly® with the horse’s ration to provide 0.15 mg Diflubenzuron per KG of equine body weight to prevent house flies and stable flies. Use the following table to determine the exact amount of this product needed based on the weight of each horse to be treated.
For larger horses over 1500 lbs of body weight, feed an additional 0.75 ounces for each additional 250 lbs of body weight.
NOTE: Scoop included equals 3 ounces or 85.05 grams.

RESISTANCE-MANAGEMENT
For resistance management, please note that Nu-Image ClariFly® contains a Group 15/diflubenzuron insecticide. Any insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to Nu-Image ClariFly® and other Group 15 insecticides. The resistant individuals may dominate the insect population if these insecticides are used repeatedly in the same fields. Appropriate resistance-management strategies should be followed. To delay insecticide/acaricide resistance, take the following steps:
● Adopt an integrated pest management program for insecticide use that includes scouting, uses historical information related to pesticide use, record keeping, and which considers cultural, biological and other chemical control practices.
● Monitor after application for unexpected target pest survival. If the level of survival suggests the presence of resistance, consult with your local university specialist or certified pest control advisor.
● Contact your local extension specialist for any additional pesticide resistance management and/or IPM recommendations for the specific site and pest problems in your area.
● For further information or to report suspected resistance contact Central Garden & Pet Company at 1-800-347-8272 or at www.centralflycontrol.com.
