Nicarbazin 250 G Indications

As an aid in prevention of coccidiosis due to Eimeria maxima in broiler chickens.

Dosage and Administration

Thoroughly mix 0.5 kg of NICARBAZIN 250 G per tonne (1000 kg) of complete feed (equivalent to 125 g/tonne of active). Provide medicated feed as the sole starter ration.

CAUTIONS:

1. Do not use this medicated feed for the treatment of outbreaks of coccidiosis.

2. In cases of unexpected mortality, consult a veterinarian or poultry pathologist for an exact diagnosis and follow their recommendations.

3. Avoid feeding this medication during periods of high heat and humidity, as nicarbazin is known to exacerbate the effects of heat stress.

4. This medication should be fed in the starter ration from placement. Adverse effects may occur if nicarbazin medicated feed is started after initial placement.

Warnings

1) Treated chickens must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 2 days after the latest treatment with this drug.

2) Do not feed to laying hens.

3) When handling NICARBAZIN 250 G premix, use protective clothing, impervious gloves, and a dust mask. Avoid inhalation, oral exposure and direct contact with eyes or skin. If accidental eye or skin contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. If irritation occurs, seek medical attention.

4) Keep out of reach of children.

Storage

Store in a dry place below 30°C. Excursions to 40°C permitted.

Feeds containing this medicated premix are stable for up to 90 days when stored at 25°C and 60% Relative Humidity.
