Instrument Lubricant

MicroLube™ C is specially formulated to be used as a lubricant and rust inhibitor for all types of surgical and dental instruments including carbon steel. It is compatible with all sterilization methods and if stored properly, can be reused for 28 days without becoming contaminated.

Directions For Use

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment based on safe work practices.

Manual Lubrication: Add 1 part lubricant to 6 parts distilled or demineralized water. Mix thoroughly. Immerse clean instruments, box locks open, into the solution for 30-40 seconds. If instruments are stiff, work them open and closed while in the solution until they operate freely. Remove and place open instruments on a lint-free towel to thoroughly dry before proceeding with sterilization. Any residual lubricant should be wiped off before sterilization. If mixed lubricant is covered between use, solution can be changed every 28 days; however, if lubricant is used frequently, it is recommended to change the mixture each week. Use instrument lubricant daily to obtain maximum results.

Automatic Washing Equipment: Add 1/8 fl. oz. (3.7 mL) to 2 fl. oz. (59 mL) per gallon (3.8 L) of water. Dilutions vary depending on temperature, water quality and equipment. Consult equipment manufacturer’s guidelines for recommended setting.
