BURSAL DISEASE-REOVIRUS VACCINE

Standard and Variant, Killed Virus

Maximune 6 Indications

This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy chickens 18 weeks of age or older against bursal disease caused by standard and variant types. Breeder vaccination also provides maternal antibodies to progeny of breeder hens for the prevention of bursal disease caused by standard and variant types and tenosynovitis and malabsorption caused by reoviruses for standard and SS412 type. The duration of immunity is unknown. For more information regarding safety data, go to productdata.aphis.usda.gov.

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS: Warm the vaccine to room temperature and shake well before and during use. The dose is 0.5 mL per chicken and is to be administered by the subcutaneous route in the mid to lower part of the neck. Use aseptic technique and do not inject into muscle tissue or neck vertebrae. A prime with a live infectious bursal disease vaccine and tenosynovitis vaccine is recommended at least four weeks in advance of administration of the killed vaccine.

NOTICE: This vaccine has undergone rigid potency, safety and purity tests and meets Ceva and USDA requirements. However, the user is advised that response to vaccination depends on numerous factors, including but not limited to storage, handling, aseptic technique and the health and responsiveness of individual chickens. Due to the stress of handling or moving chickens, vaccination of hens in lay may result in a drop in egg production.
