Light Mineral Oil, NF Indications

As an aid in the treatment of intestinal constipation in horses, cattle, sheep, swine, goats, dogs and cats. Light Mineral Oil, NF is odourless and tasteless. Provides good sheen when used as a coat dressing for livestock shows. May also be used as a safe, non-irritating base for livestock sprays.

Dosage and Administration

Laxative: Administer as a drench and repeat daily until back to normal, or as recommended by a veterinarian.

Horses and cattle: 5 to 10 mL per 5 kg of body weight.

Sheep, Goats, Swine: 1 to 2 mL/kg of body weight.

Dogs, Cats: 0.5 mL/kg of body weight.

Cautions: Discontinue use of this medication if any diarrhea or soft stools occur. Exercise care in administering to avoid aspiration into the lungs and possible foreign body pneumonia. Prolonged use or frequently repeated use may interfere with the normal absorption of nutrients from the digestive tract. Not recommended for frequently repeated or extended repeated administration. If the condition persists, consult a veterinarian.

Store below 25°C. Keep the container tightly closed. Keep from freezing.
