Iron Hydrogenated Dextran InjectionThis treatment applies to the following species:
Active Ingredient(s): Each mL of sterile solution contains 100 mg of elemental iron stabilized with a low molecular weight hydrogenated dextran and 0.5% phenol as a preservative.
Iron Hydrogenated Dextran Injection Indications
For the prevention or treatment of baby pig anemia due to iron deficiency.
Dosage and AdministrationAdminister by intramuscular injection only.
Prevention: 1 mL (100 mg) at two (2) to four (4) days of age.
Treatment: 1 mL (100 mg). May be repeated in approximately 10 days.
Precaution(s): Store at controlled temperature between 15°C and 30°C (59°F-86°F).
Protect from freezing.
Caution(s): Keep out of the reach of children.
Use of the product after four weeks of age may cause staining of the ham muscle.
Presentation: 100 mL vials.
