Directions For Use

RESTRICTIONS:

● FOR USE ON HORSES AND PONIES ONLY. Not to be used on newborn or nursing foals.

● Use on show, race, work or pleasure horses/ponies only. DO NOT use on horses/ponies intended for slaughter.

● DO NOT soak skin. DO NOT apply more than 60 mL per animal per treatment.

● DO NOT treat eyes/eyelids and mucous membranes (e.g., nose, mouth, genitals).

● DO NOT cover horses/ponies immediately after treatment.

● DO NOT apply to back of horse/pony prior to saddling.

● Discontinue use if horse/pony develops irritation after treatment with this product.

● Do not use on sick animals or animals under drug or pesticide treatment. Before use on pregnant animals, consult a veterinarian.

● Avoid contact with treated horse/pony until dry.

● DO NOT apply when people are present.

● DO NOT allow spray to drip or allow drift onto non-target surfaces.

● DO NOT apply more than once per day. Treatment must only be repeated after one day if pest problem persists or re-occurs.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HORSES AND PONIES

HOLD CONTAINER UPRIGHT. SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING. Ready to use. No mixing necessary. This water-based formulation may be applied directly with the attached trigger spray applicator or as a wipe-on.

HOW TO PRIME AND CARE FOR YOUR TRIGGER SPRAYER

1. After shaking product well, remove cap from container and replace with sprayer hose and cap assembly. Tighten securely.

2. Turn sprayer nozzle one-half turn counter-clockwise. Hold sprayer below the level of container and prime by pumping trigger 10-15 times until product is dispensed. Adjust nozzle to fine spray or jet stream as required.

3. After each use, thoroughly flush sprayer and hose with water. Return hose and cap assembly to container, tighten securely. Turn nozzle to “OFF” position and store above level of liquid in container to prevent leakage.

NOTE: If sprayer does not function properly, remove nozzle cover and check nozzle hole and holes in rubber component for obstructions. Check to make sure nozzle is not in “OFF” position. Replace nozzle cover, return sprayer assembly to container and proceed.

TO TREAT HORSES AND PONIES: To protect horses/ponies from attacks of black flies, face flies, house flies, horn flies, horse flies and mosquitoes. Prior to treatment, thoroughly brush horse/pony to remove excess dirt and dust and remove mucous secretions from face of the horse/pony. Extremely dirty horses/ponies should be shampooed, rinsed and allowed to dry before treatment. This product is to be applied directly to the horse/pony as a spray or as a wipe-on.

SPRAY METHOD: Apply a light, uniform spray to thoroughly coat the hair of the horse/pony, while brushing lightly against lay of the hair. DO NOT wet horse’s/pony’s skin. Target areas of the horse/pony commonly attacked by listed pests such as the legs, flanks and topline of the horse/pony. DO NOT apply as a spray to the face of horse/pony. When applying to the face of horse/pony, use the Wipe-On Method as described below.

WIPE-ON METHOD: Use this method to apply to the face and other sensitive areas to avoid application to eyes and mucous membranes e.g., nose, mouth, genitals. Moisten (not to the point of dripping) a clean soft cloth/sponge/mitt with product. Thoroughly rub the moistened cloth/sponge/mitt over the area of hair of the horse/pony to be protected. It is best to apply by rubbing against the hair growth. Pay special attention to the legs, shoulders, shanks, neck and facial areas where flies most often are seen.

Precautions

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

HUMANS: May be harmful if absorbed through the skin. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Avoid breathing spray mist. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Wear rubber gloves while handling this product. DO NOT contaminate food.

ANIMALS: Do not apply directly to eyes and mouth of animal. Do not wet the skin, nor cover horses immediately after treatment. Do not contaminate feed.

ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS:

Toxic to aquatic organisms. Toxic to birds. Toxic to bees. Toxic to beneficial insects.

FIRST AID:

If swallowed: Call a poison control centre or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control centre or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

If on skin or clothing: Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control centre or doctor for treatment advice.

If inhaled: Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth, if possible. Call a poison control centre or doctor for further treatment advice.

If in eyes: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control centre or doctor for treatment advice. Take container, label or product name and Pest Control Product Registration Number with you when seeking medical attention.

TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION:

Treat symptomatically.

Storage

Store product in a cool and dry place, away from open flames and heat sources.

Disposal

Do not reuse container. Wrap and dispose of empty container with household garbage.
