Dairyman's Defence Shield

This treatment applies to the following species:
Company: Agrisan SC Pharma

0.5% Chlorhexidine Teat Dip

DIN 02263610

For Veterinary Use Only

Indication: A Chlorhexidine post-milking product used as an aid in the prevention of the spread of mastitis-causing organisms in dairy cattle.

Active Ingredients

Chlorhexidine Acetate - 0.5% w/w, Glycerine - 3% w/w.

Directions For Use

Do not dilute. Immediately after each cow is milked, dip the teats in Dairyman’s Defence Shield solution. When a cow is being dried off, continue the teat-dipping once a day for 1 - 2 weeks. With freshening cows, begin dipping teats twice daily for about 10 days before calving. If common dip cup is used for application, a fresh solution should always be used at each milking. The dip cup should be emptied, cleaned and rinsed after each milking session or when the cup becomes contaminated during milking. Do not pour remaining solution from dip cup back into the original container. Prior to milking, use a specially formulated udder wash as recommended on the label to thoroughly wash udder and teats. Do not use for cleaning and/or sanitizing milking equipment.

Warning

Harmful if swallowed. Eye irritant. Wash hands thoroughly after handling product. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with food.

Dairyman's Defence Shield Caution

If temperature is below freezing, allow teats to air-dry before letting cows outside. Consult your veterinarian before using on teats that are irritated.
