Treatment for flies can be repeated as needed to a maximum of 3 applications per year, but not more than once every 3 weeks. For optimal lice control, an initial application followed by a second treatment 3 weeks later is recommended. Biting lice (Mallophaga) will usually be eliminated within one week after the first treatment. Sucking lice (Anoplura) may persist on a few animals after the second treatment. Leave a minimum interval of 3 weeks between applications for fly control and for louse control.

PRECAUTIONS:

KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. Can cause substantial but temporary eye injury. Harmful if swallowed, or absorbed through the skin. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Keep out of the eyes of cattle. Wear goggles, face shield or safety glasses and non-absorbent gloves when handling or applying the product. Wash hands after handling product. Do not contaminate feed or food.

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS:

This product is extremely toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. Do not use near lakes, streams, ponds or other aquatic systems. Prevent entry of treated cattle into water for 24 hours after treatment. Be careful not to contaminate any body of water with washwater from equipment.

Resistance Management:

For resistance management, CyLence Pour-On Insecticide is a Group 3 insecticide. Any insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to CyLence Pour-On Insecticide and other Group 3 insecticides. The resistant biotypes may dominate the insect population if these insecticides are used repeatedly. Other resistance mechanisms that are not linked to site of action, but specific for individual chemicals, such as enhanced metabolism, may also exist. Appropriate resistance management strategies should be followed.

To delay insecticide resistance: Where possible, rotate the use of CyLence Pour-On Insecticide with different groups that control the same pests. Use tank mixtures with insecticides from a different group when such use is permitted. Insecticide use should be based on an integrated pest management (IPM) program that includes scouting and record keeping and considers cultural, biological, and other chemical control practices; Monitor treated pest populations for resistance development. Contact the local extension specialist or certified crop advisors for any additional pesticide resistance-management and IPM recommendations for the specific site and pest problems in the area. For further information or to report suspected resistance, contact Bayer Animal Health at 1 800 622 2937 x4920.

Contact Poison Control Centre or physician immediately. If inhaled, remove victim to fresh air. If on skin, wash off with soap and water. NOTICE TO VETERINARIAN:

A small percentage of treated animals may experience a temporary skin sensation known as paraesthesia (characterized by one or more of the following signs: head tossing, tail twitching, restlessness and irritability) within 24 hours after application.
