Calf's Choice Total GoldThis treatment applies to the following species:
Natural Bovine Dried Colostrum
IgG ≥ 60 g
IgG > 5%
7.9 ounces (225 g)
A Proven Replacement for Maternal Colostrum
Each bag provides ≥ 60 g of bovine IgG (> 25% IgG) and is made from natural bovine colostrum.
Calf's Choice Total Gold Indications
Calf’s Choice Total® Gold is used as an aid in the treatment of failure of passive transfer (FPT) in newborn calves.
Directions For Use
Use a whisk or electric mixer to mix the powder into the water. Mix 1 bag (7.9 oz) of powder into 3 standard measuring cups (3/4 quart) of water that is hot to the touch (110 to 120°F or 43 to 49°C). Feed the calf by nipple bottle or esophageal tube as soon as possible after birth.
To replace maternal colostrum feed calf 3 bags.
Store in a dry location at room temperature (not over 72°F or 22°C).
In an efficacy study filed with the Center for Veterinary Biologics of the USDA, calves fed this product at the recommended levels achieved average serum IgG levels of 17.2 mg/mL and average serum total protein levels of 5.4 g/dL.
